What you'll do
- Design and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product specifications and requirements to ensure thorough coverage of all functionalities.
- Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing to identify bugs and areas for improvement, ensuring that products meet high-quality standards before release.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements and provide feedback on design and usability.
- Analyze test results and document findings, providing clear and actionable reports to the development team to facilitate prompt resolution of issues.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts to enhance testing efficiency and reduce manual testing efforts.
- Participate in code reviews and provide input on quality-related aspects of the development process, fostering a culture of quality within the team.
- Monitor and evaluate product performance post-release, gathering user feedback and analytics to inform future product iterations and enhancements.
- Mentor junior QA engineers, sharing best practices and guiding them in their professional development to build a strong quality assurance team.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in testing methodologies, tools, and technologies to continuously improve QA processes.
- Contribute to the development of quality assurance policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate testing processes into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring deployment and delivery of high-quality products.
- Engage in troubleshooting and problem-solving activities, providing technical support to the team and assisting in the resolution of complex issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance or product testing, with a strong understanding of QA methodologies and best practices.
- Proficiency in automated testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar technologies.
- Solid experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript is a plus.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, is highly desirable.
Nice to have
- Certification in Quality Assurance (e.g., ISTQB) or related fields.
- Experience in a product management role or understanding of product lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments and tools.
- Knowledge of security testing practices and tools.
- Experience with mobile application testing and associated tools.
