About the role
You will safeguard the accuracy and reliability of credit and accounting data for CIM Group's investment vehicles, ensuring that every entry, adjustment, and report reflects the highest standard of integrity. This role owns the end to end oversight of accounting processes related to credit facilities, working closely with portfolio management to align financial reporting with investment strategy and operational realities. You are responsible for maintaining the detailed records of individual partner capital accounts and investment schedules, ensuring that each calculation supports transparent and auditable financial statements. You will drive the preparation of management reports, including cash flow forecasting and other rigorous analysis, to provide leadership with timely insights for decision making. You act as a key control point in the investment lifecycle, partnering with tax, treasury, and internal and external auditors to resolve discrepancies and strengthen controls. The position contributes directly to new investment onboarding, transaction activity, and ongoing liquidity management within complex capital structures. You will own the validation of data that underpins critical financial disclosures, ensuring consistency across funds and compliance with relevant accounting standards. By maintaining a sharp focus on quality and process, you enable the firm to manage risk confidently and support scalable growth across its portfolio.

What you'll do
Orchestrate the monthly close for credit and partner accounting, coordinating with portfolio management, tax, and treasury to reconcile data and resolve variances.
Lead the administration of partner capital accounts, maintaining detailed schedules that track contributions, distributions, and earnings allocations with precision.
Develop and maintain investment schedules that reflect the economic reality of each fund, ensuring alignment between cash flows, accounting entries, and investor reporting.
Perform detailed cash flow forecasting and scenario analysis to support liquidity decisions and inform senior leadership on funding requirements and obligations.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors to provide documentation, respond to inquiries, and implement corrective actions based on audit findings.
Collaborate with tax advisors to ensure that accounting treatments for credit facilities and partner transactions comply with applicable regulations and reporting requirements.
Own the validation of key inputs for valuation processes, confirming that assumptions and supporting data are accurate and consistently applied.
Support the onboarding of new investments by establishing accounting frameworks, mapping transaction flows, and setting up reporting templates for timely capture of data.
Monitor the performance of underlying assets, preparing management reports that highlight trends, risks, and opportunities for optimization.
Manage relationships with banks and lenders to reconcile facility activity, confirm covenant compliance, and track drawdown and repayment schedules.
Implement process improvements that increase the efficiency and reliability of accounting workflows, leveraging technology to reduce manual effort and enhance controls.
Provide ad hoc analysis to answer questions from senior leadership, requiring you to trace data through multiple systems and present findings in a clear, concise manner.
Ensure that all financial reporting packages meet the stringent standards required for institutional investors, regulators, and rating agencies.
Serve as a subject matter expert on credit accounting topics, supporting training and guidance for cross functional teams across the organization.
Drive continuous documentation of procedures, ensuring that knowledge is retained and that processes can be replicated as the team scales.
Requirements
You must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience that demonstrates mastery of advanced accounting principles.
You are expected to hold a current Certified Public Accountant license or eligibility to sit for the exam in your jurisdiction, with strong technical knowledge of accounting standards.
You must bring a proven track record of at least seven years in accounting, finance, or a related role, with at least some experience in a complex investment environment.
You should have hands on experience with partnership accounting, capital accounts, and the administration of investor equity, including detailed tracking of contributions and distributions.
You are required to have direct experience managing credit facilities, including cash sweep, amortization, and reconciliation of bank ledgers with internal records.
You must demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of complex formulas, pivot tables, and macros to manage large data sets accurately.
You are expected to be highly proficient in enterprise level financial systems, including general ledger platforms and cash management tools, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
You must have a strong understanding of US GAAP and be able to apply accounting standards related to debt, equity, and partnership structures in a regulated environment.
