What you'll do
- Own and lead the month-end and year-end close process from start to finish, ensuring completeness and timeliness.
- Review financial statements and accounting operations rigorously to ensure accuracy and full compliance with GAAP standards.
- Partner closely with FP&A to support the preparation of timely, accurate, and insightful financial reports for management.
- Research and apply appropriate technical accounting guidance to address complex transactions and emerging accounting issues.
- Coordinate all aspects of annual external audits, including preparing documentation and supporting audit readiness activities.
- Oversee daily cash forecasting and cash management activities to maintain strong liquidity and financial control.
- Review and support payroll accounting processes to ensure accurate and compliant execution across the organization.
- Lead operational accounting functions, including physician payroll, billing, collections, and payment activities with attention to accuracy and compliance.
- Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies across the accounting organization by identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions.
- Evaluate, develop, and strengthen internal controls to mitigate risk and safeguard company assets.
- Partner with business leaders to identify potential risks and collaborate on implementing effective solutions and controls.
- Support optimization and effective use of NetSuite, Salesforce, Ramp, and related financial systems to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Thrive in a dynamic environment with frequently shifting priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy, responsiveness, and accountability.
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a large accounting team through active performance management, accountability, and professional development initiatives.
- Directly manage the General Ledger team and support the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Managers in resolving operational issues.
Requirements
You must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field to meet the eligibility criteria for this role. You are expected to hold current knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and demonstrate a strong understanding of financial reporting standards. Previous experience managing a team of this scale and complexity is essential for success in this position. You must have a proven track record of delivering accurate financial results while adhering to strict compliance requirements. Strong experience with NetSuite, Salesforce, and similar financial systems is required to perform the duties effectively. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where priorities can change rapidly and demands are high. Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills are necessary to influence stakeholders and drive initiatives across the organization. You must be able to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
Nice to have
Experience leading accounting operations in a high-growth staffing or services environment would be highly valuable for this role. Demonstrated success in managing and developing high-performing accounting teams is a preferred qualification. Familiarity with physician payroll, billing, and collections within a healthcare staffing context is considered a strong advantage. Experience coordinating external audits and driving audit readiness activities is also preferred. Proficiency with advanced NetSuite customizations, Salesforce reporting, and Ramp management would further support success in this position.
