Conduct detailed analysis of state income tax compliance obligations, preparing comprehensive technical memoranda and client-ready deliverables.

Support the identification and implementation of technology-driven enhancements to SALT compliance and indirect tax management workflows.

Requirements
Possess a minimum of 2 years of cumulative professional experience specifically within state and local tax, corporate tax, public accounting, or corporate tax consulting environments.
Hold a minimum of 2 years of prior experience gained at one or more Big 4 firms, specifically Deloitte, EY, KPMG, or PwC, demonstrating a proven track record in tax practice.
Have direct experience contributing to state income tax compliance, sales and use tax compliance, indirect tax advisory, or multistate tax reporting engagements.
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the practical application of state income tax regulations, sales and use tax rules, indirect tax frameworks, and multistate tax coordination.
Possess the ability to conduct sophisticated tax research, focusing on nexus determinations, apportionment factor analysis, and unitary filing group considerations.
Showcase prior involvement in tax planning strategies, restructuring projects, audit defense processes, or formal tax controversy resolution engagements.
Have hands-on experience utilizing tax automation technologies, including but not limited to Avalara, Vertex, or comparable platforms for indirect tax processing.
Demonstrate a history of supporting process improvement initiatives or tax technology implementation projects within either a corporate treasury or a consulting capacity.

Possess an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, a Juris Doctor (JD), a Master of Science in Taxation (MST), or are actively pursuing a relevant professional credential.
