What you'll do

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a focus on structural engineering.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a proven track record in project management.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation or eligibility for registration in Nova Scotia.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, or similar tools.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and best practices in structural design.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Familiarity with construction methods and materials, as well as an understanding of sustainable design principles.

Nice to have

• Experience with seismic and wind load analysis, particularly in regions with specific environmental challenges.
