What you'll do
- Lead the design and analysis of structural systems for a variety of projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial structures.

Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a focus on structural engineering.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a proven track record in project management.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation or eligibility for registration in Nova Scotia.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, or similar tools.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and best practices in structural design.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with construction methods and materials, as well as an understanding of sustainable design principles.
Nice to have
- Experience with seismic and wind load analysis, particularly in regions with specific environmental challenges.
- Knowledge of advanced materials and construction techniques, including prefabrication and modular construction.
- Previous experience in a consulting engineering environment, particularly in client-facing roles.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools to enhance project tracking and reporting.
- A Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field, which may provide an advantage in complex project scenarios.
