What you'll do
- Execute routine vehicle services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid flushes while documenting all work performed.
- Perform initial vehicle safety and maintenance inspections using diagnostic tools and foundational knowledge to report findings accurately.
- Assist mid-level and advanced technicians with more complex repairs, learning proper techniques and procedures in a guided environment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace ensuring tools and equipment are properly cared for, stored, and ready for use.
- Accurately document observations and service details, supporting shop operations and communication with senior team members.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow technicians, participating in training opportunities and seeking mentorship to develop technical skills.
- Follow all dealership and OEM service procedures, placing priority on the customer's vehicle safety at every stage of the process.
- Operate vehicle equipment and tools in compliance with physical requirements, including the ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
- Support the fast-paced environment by working efficiently while adhering to high standards of quality and attention to detail.

Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age as required for employment at a Carvana dealership.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record as part of standard employment qualifications.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening as mandated by Carvana dealership policies.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship requirements at the time of hire.
- Must meet physical demands including the ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 60 pounds for extended periods.
- Must demonstrate the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to perform job duties and ensure safety compliance.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the Sacramento, CA location as required for the role.
- Must commit to following all dealership and OEM procedures, maintaining adherence to safety and quality standards.
Nice to have
- ASE certifications are a preferred qualification for candidates entering this role.
- Previous professional experience as an Automotive Technician or completion of an accredited technical training program.
- Foundational knowledge of automotive systems including engines, brakes, and tires.
