What you'll do

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, journal entries, and reconciliations to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring timely reporting to management and stakeholders.
• Conduct regular account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing and payment processing while maintaining positive relationships with vendors and clients.
• Support the annual budgeting process by providing relevant financial data and analysis to assist in strategic planning and decision-making.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary financial information for audits and assist external auditors during the audit process.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and enhance the overall accounting processes within the organization.
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting software and systems to streamline financial operations and reporting.
• Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed, contributing to the continuous improvement of financial processes and systems.
• Provide support for tax preparation and compliance, ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal tax regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to ethical standards in all accounting practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with various stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• High level of integrity and professionalism in handling confidential information.

Nice to have

• CPA certification or progress towards obtaining it is a plus.
• Experience with tax compliance and preparation is advantageous.
• Familiarity with financial analysis tools and techniques.
• Previous experience in a similar industry or sector is beneficial.
