What you'll do

• Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Develop comprehensive project plans that outline project scope, objectives, deliverables, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather project requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Monitor project progress and performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary to keep projects on track.
• Facilitate regular project meetings, providing updates to stakeholders and addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
• Manage project risks by identifying potential issues early and developing mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and present project status reports to senior management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and next steps.
• Mentor and support junior project team members, fostering their professional development and growth.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Project Management Office, contributing to the enhancement of project management processes and methodologies.
• Collaborate with the finance team to manage project budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting of project expenditures.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and address any feedback or concerns related to project deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably within the environmental or engineering sectors.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to completion.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools, such as Agile, Waterfall, or PRINCE2.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, Asana, or Trello.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Nice to have

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
• Experience in the environmental consulting industry or related fields.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements in the Northwest Territories.
• Knowledge of risk management practices and tools.
• Experience with stakeholder engagement and community consultation processes.
