What you'll do

• Lead the integration of complex programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive program schedules, tracking milestones and deliverables to ensure timely execution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define project scopes, and establish clear communication channels.
• Monitor program performance metrics, providing regular updates to stakeholders and recommending adjustments as necessary.
• Facilitate program meetings, documenting action items and ensuring follow-through on commitments made by team members.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on program timelines and deliverables.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for program-related inquiries, fostering strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting program status, challenges, and successes.
• Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support in program management best practices.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, maintaining a high level of quality throughout program execution.
• Assist in the development of program budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
• Conduct post-program evaluations to assess outcomes and identify areas for improvement in future initiatives.

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in program management or a related field.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex programs within a government or defense contracting environment.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools, including Agile and Waterfall approaches.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, fostering collaboration and cooperation among diverse groups.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; a Master's degree or PMP certification is highly desirable.

Nice to have

• Experience working with government contracts and an understanding of federal acquisition regulations.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity and information assurance principles.
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies and process improvement techniques.
• Previous experience in a leadership role, demonstrating the ability to inspire and motivate teams.

Skills & tools

• Ability to utilize collaboration tools such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, or similar platforms for effective communication.
