What you'll do

• Develop, monitor, and analyze budgets for multiple programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to gather financial data and provide insights on budgetary performance and variances.
• Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key trends, forecasts, and recommendations for budget adjustments.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses to evaluate the financial viability of proposed projects and initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in budget analysis, financial management, or program analysis, preferably in a government contracting environment.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Excel, QuickBooks, or similar budgeting systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly to diverse audiences.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance in financial reporting.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, managing multiple priorities effectively.

Nice to have

• Experience with federal budgeting processes and regulations, including knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools, such as Agile or Scrum.
• Certification as a Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) or similar credential.
• Previous experience in a consulting or advisory role within the public sector.
