What you'll do
- Design and develop high-performance back-end systems that can handle large volumes of data and user requests efficiently.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic, ensuring seamless user experiences.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices in software development.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge with team members.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the production environment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Implement and maintain APIs that allow for smooth communication between various components of our software ecosystem.
- Work with cloud technologies to deploy and manage applications in a scalable environment.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of new features and enhancements, providing input on technical feasibility and implementation strategies.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our back-end systems and processes.
- Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their roles.
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices in all aspects of back-end development.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in back-end development, with a strong focus on server-side technologies.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Familiarity with RESTful API design and implementation, as well as microservices architecture.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience with message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Kafka for asynchronous processing.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular) to facilitate better collaboration with front-end teams.
- Previous experience in the compensation management or HR tech industry is a plus.
