What you'll do
- Execute the daily schedule of store visits and sampling activations assigned for the Santa Clara region while adhering to campaign timelines and planogram specifications.
- Set up and optimize in-store sampling stations to maximize consumer engagement and ensure prominent product placement that adheres to brand guidelines.
- Interpret detailed planograms and translate visual merchandising directives into precise shelf setups that guarantee correct brand facings and availability.
- Design and follow efficient travel routes that service multiple retail accounts, balancing geographic proximity with priority demands based on monthly availability constraints.
- Capture and synthesize real-time shopper sentiment and buyer feedback during each visit, then synthesize these insights into actionable reports for brand leadership.
- Adjust verbal and non-verbal communication styles to align with the specific dynamics of Sephora, ULTA, Bluemercury, and other diverse retail formats and customer profiles.
- Proactively manage internal approval processes for marketing activations to guarantee that sampling kits, display materials, and promotional assets are present and ready at the point of sale.
- Monitor competing brand priorities across a dynamic portfolio, ensuring that each scheduled visit meets distinct performance metrics and key performance indicators.
- Update account notes and visit outcomes in real time using provided systems to preserve critical details and inform future engagement strategies.
- Verify the accuracy of product placement and planogram compliance down to the level of individual facings and end-cap configurations during every visit.
- Maintain a consistent and disciplined rhythm in the market, balancing data-driven decision making with on-the-ground intuition and situational awareness.
- Represent Beauty Barrage and its partner brands with a polished, reliable, and results-focused demeanor that reinforces the value of the Field Team network.
Requirements
Candidates must possess a minimum of three years of cumulative experience working within beauty retail environments to ensure a foundational understanding of the category. Reliable personal transportation within the Santa Clara metropolitan area is mandatory, with the flexibility to accommodate travel as dictated by fluctuating monthly schedules and campaign demands. The position operates on a part-time basis, with an expected commitment of 35 to 40 hours per week, requiring availability to adapt to shifting calendars and last-minute priority changes. Compensation for the role is fixed at $24.00 per hour for all hours worked in the capacity of Brand Specialist. Incumbents must be capable of working independently, making sound judgments, and executing tasks without direct supervision while on the shop floor and during active selling hours.
