Brand Specialist - Miami, FL
Job description
About the role
You will own the strategic execution of sales initiatives within your designated Miami territory, ensuring that brand objectives are met through disciplined planning and consistent follow-through. You are responsible for cultivating authentic, trust-based relationships with both retail partners and end consumers to elevate brand perception and drive purchase intent. This role requires you to act as the primary brand ambassador on the floor, representing client values with professionalism and integrity in every interaction. You will leverage data and real-time feedback to refine your approach, optimizing performance against key performance indicators set by the Field Sales Manager. Ownership of your schedule and workflow is essential, as you balance multiple priorities in a dynamic retail environment without direct supervision. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to align on promotions, product launches, and in-store events that amplify brand presence. Your role directly impacts revenue generation by translating market insights into actionable strategies at the consumer level. Success in this position is defined by your ability to adapt, learn, and consistently deliver results that exceed expectations for both Beauty Barrage and its brand partners.

Requirements
You must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to navigate the Miami area and access diverse retail locations independently.

You must have at least one year of proven experience in sales, merchandising, or business development within the beauty, cosmetics, or related consumer goods sector.
You must demonstrate a track record of exceeding performance metrics, such as sales volume, sell-through, or market penetration in previous roles.
You must be comfortable working autonomously while managing multiple priorities, showing initiative when guidance is limited and maintaining professionalism under pressure.
You must have strong written and verbal communication skills, allowing you to build rapport with diverse teams, including retail staff, buyers, and field colleagues.
You must be proficient in using smartphones, tablets, and basic computer applications for data entry, email communication, and accessing digital dashboards while on the move.
You must be able to lift and transport product samples and display materials weighing up to thirty pounds on a regular basis during site visits.
Nice to have
Experience with Sephora, ULTA, or other prestige beauty retail formats is preferred, given the specific nature of client portfolios and shopper expectations.
Familiarity with beauty retail software, inventory management systems, or field reporting tools will enable a smoother transition into documenting and sharing store-level insights.
Background in brand management, category analysis, or promotional execution is favored for candidates who wish to take on more complex assignments and drive deeper impact.
Candidates with a history of successful negotiation with retail buyers or visual merchandising teams will stand out when prioritizing high-value opportunities.
Practical notes
This position operates on a fluctuating, part-time basis, with work schedules varying monthly based on the needs of assigned brands and the distance team members are willing to travel within the Miami region.
Travel requirements are determined by the scope of brand contracts and the geographic distribution of retail partners, which may necessitate early arrival or extended hours during campaign launches.
Candidates should be prepared to provide documentation of eligibility and identity as required for onboarding, given the independent contractor or variable workforce nature of the role.
