Collaborate with retail leadership to analyze sell-out data and optimize planograms for maximum visibility and accessibility.
Champion new product launches by orchestrating sampling events, live demonstrations, and engaging storytelling that highlight key benefits.
Cultivate a deep understanding of competitor positioning to ensure your brand maintains a distinct and desirable shelf presence.
Partner with merchandising teams to ensure flawless planogram compliance and that all promotional materials are visually striking and accurate.
Utilize CRM tools to log detailed consumer interactions and retailer feedback, turning insights into actionable strategies for future visits.
Monitor and report on market trends, providing real-time intelligence on competitor activity and consumer preferences to inform strategic decisions.
Lead focused training sessions for retail staff, equipping them with the knowledge to confidently speak to product benefits and features.
Proactively identify and resolve in-store challenges, ensuring that every activation runs smoothly and aligns with brand standards.
Translate complex product formulations into simple, benefit-driven conversations that connect with diverse consumer demographics.
Own the visual merchandising of your assigned section, ensuring displays are immersive, on-brand, and designed to maximize conversion.
Act as an ambassador for the brands you represent, embodying their values and mission with every interaction in the retail environment.
Serve as the first line of defense for brand integrity, ensuring that pricing, claims, and regulatory guidelines are meticulously followed on every visit.
Requirements
You possess a genuine passion for the beauty industry and a deep appreciation for the nuances of personal care and cosmetics.
You have at least one year of proven experience in a brand ambassador, retail merchandising, or related customer-facing role.
You are legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, as this is an on-site role that requires physical presence in New Brunswick, NJ.
You are able to reliably commute to the New Brunswick, NJ location for shifts, as remote work is not an option for this position.
You are comfortable navigating a dynamic work environment where schedules may change monthly based on the needs of various brands and retailers.
You have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, as assignments may require travel between different retail locations.
You are detail-oriented and able to maintain high standards of accuracy when executing planograms and promotional guidelines.
You possess strong interpersonal skills and the confidence to engage with diverse stakeholders, from retail executives to end consumers.
Nice to have
Experience with Sephora, ULTA, or other prestige beauty retail environments is highly valued for this role.
Familiarity with beauty retail software or inventory management systems is preferred to streamline workflow and reporting.
An understanding of social media trends and how they intersect with in-store behavior is a distinct advantage for modern activations.
Previous experience in a leadership capacity within a retail or brand environment is appreciated for those mentoring junior team members.

Practical notes
This is a fluctuating, part-time, seasonal opportunity, with the work schedule varying monthly based on scheduling needs, and ideal for employees who can work anywhere from 0-20 hours a month based on the brands' and retailers' needs and availability.
Assignments are primarily based in New Brunswick, New Jersey; limited travel within the tri-state area may be required based on client needs.
Candidates must be available to work during peak retail hours, including weekends and holidays, as these times are critical for campaign success.
