About the role

You will shape the physical infrastructure of Base's nationwide operations as an Architectural Designer. This role involves developing and refining architectural solutions for a variety of facilities, ranging from advanced manufacturing plants to corporate offices. You will independently manage projects through all phases, ensuring that each deliverable aligns with strategic business goals and technical requirements. Collaboration with diverse teams will be central to your work, as you translate abstract needs into precise technical and spatial designs. You will own the end-to-end design process, from initial concept development through detailed documentation. Your work will directly influence how teams interact with and move through the built environments you create. You will be expected to balance independent execution with the ability to synthesize feedback from multidisciplinary stakeholders. Ultimately, you will be responsible for delivering designs that are not only functional and compliant but also support the long-term vision of the organization.

What you'll do

• Create architectural designs for a diverse portfolio of projects, producing high-quality drawings, 3D models, and construction documents that clearly communicate intent and requirements.
• Execute architectural assignments with a high degree of autonomy, balancing independent work with proactive team collaboration to ensure alignment across disciplines.
• Review and develop design documents to verify compliance with local building codes, life safety standards, and accessibility requirements, mitigating risk early in the process.
• Lead multi-trade BIM coordination efforts, with a specific focus on integrating MEPFP systems seamlessly into architectural designs to avoid conflicts and optimize spatial allocation.
• Research construction materials and analyze existing structures to improve design documentation, ensuring that specifications are both practical and cost-effective.
• Support construction administration by thoroughly reviewing submittals and providing timely, accurate responses to field inquiries to keep projects on track.
• Ensure project deliverables consistently meet quality, timeline, and budget requirements without compromising design integrity or regulatory compliance.
• Manage project schedules and deliverables independently, demonstrating strong ownership and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Utilize advanced proficiency in Revit to develop detailed 3D models that serve as the central repository for coordination and documentation.
• Leverage Enscape to generate real-time visualizations and immersive experiences that help stakeholders understand design intent and make informed decisions.
• Employ Bluebeam to streamline markups, collaborate efficiently on PDF documents, and maintain clear records of review cycles and approvals.
• Apply Adobe Creative Suite to produce high-quality presentation materials, diagrams, and graphics that enhance client communication and internal reporting.
• Use Microsoft Office tools to organize data, create compelling presentations, and manage project documentation with precision and clarity.
• Act as a BIM leader in coordinating model integration across disciplines, ensuring that architectural elements align with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Contribute to the exploration and evaluation of AI image generation tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini to develop visual concepts and support early-stage design exploration.

Requirements

• Possess 3 to 5 years of professional experience in commercial and technical design roles within the architecture or related fields.
• Hold an NCARB-accredited degree in Architecture, demonstrating a foundational understanding of design principles, building systems, and professional practice.
• Exhibit advanced proficiency in Revit, ensuring the ability to develop complex models and detailed documentation that adhere to industry standards.
• Show mastery of Enscape to produce high-fidelity visualizations and realistic renderings that support design decision-making.
• Demonstrate expert-level competence in Bluebeam for efficient plan review, coordination, and collaboration on construction documents.
• Apply strong skills in the Adobe Creative Suite to create polished visual communications and presentation-quality graphics.
• Navigate Microsoft Office applications with fluency to support data management, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Demonstrate proven ability to execute detailed drawings and coordinate complex, multi-phased capital projects with minimal supervision.
• Show strong practical knowledge of MEPFP coordination, ensuring architectural solutions support integrated building systems.
• Engage actively in digital BIM workflows, maintaining model integrity and contributing to a coordinated project environment.
• Exhibit a highly organized and detail-oriented approach to work, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all deliverables.
