About the role
Attentive is actively searching for a dedicated FP&A Manager to act as the primary financial partner for our core General and Administrative departments, which include Finance, People, Legal, Facilities, and Operations. This specific individual contributor position is centered on the discipline of budgeting, forecasting, and headcount planning while delivering sharp strategic insights directly to our senior leadership team. The role requires a professional who can translate complex financial data into clear narratives that drive better decision making across the organization. Key facts
What you'll do
- Serve as the main financial point of contact for all heads of G&A departments, ensuring alignment on financial goals.
- Take ownership of the annual budget and rolling forecast processes specifically for headcount and operating expenses.
- Lead monthly business reviews where you will analyze variances and highlight emerging financial risks or opportunities.
- Construct financial models that assess the viability of new software investments, hiring plans, and other strategic initiatives.
- Own the maintenance of capacity models to clearly translate proposed hiring plans into specific financial outcomes and implications.
- Define and monitor key operational KPIs, including metrics on vendor concentration and cost per employee.
- Work closely with the Accounting team to validate reporting accuracy and to provide in-depth variance analysis on a regular basis.
- Drive updates and improvements to financial systems and processes to ensure they can adequately support ongoing company growth.
- Prepare and deliver strategic recommendations and compelling financial narratives to executive stakeholders during reviews.
- Act as a liaison to ensure financial data flows seamlessly between departments to support cross-functional decision making.
- Evaluate the financial impact of operational changes and communicate the results to relevant leaders effectively.
- Support special projects that require detailed financial analysis and rigorous data interpretation.
- Ensure that all financial scenarios are modeled with accuracy to reflect potential risks and rewards.
- Champion data-driven decision making by providing the necessary tools and insights to G&A leaders.
Requirements
- Bring a minimum of 4 years of professional experience in FP&A, corporate finance, strategic finance, investment banking, private equity, consulting, or business operations.
- Hold a Bachelor degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or another related quantitative field.
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for the construction of scalable and accurate financial models.
- Show strong presentation skills utilizing Google Slides or PowerPoint to communicate complex ideas clearly.
- Prove your ability to influence and build strong relationships with colleagues across various departments.
- Exhibit the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment where you take high ownership of tasks and deadlines.

Nice to have
- Possess prior experience working within subscription, usage-based, eCommerce, or SaaS business models.
- Have hands-on familiarity with platforms such as Anaplan, NetSuite, Salesforce, Snowflake, or Looker.
- Have experience leveraging AI tools like Codex or Claude to enhance productivity and analysis.
