What you'll do
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Collaborate with management to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies that attract top talent to the organization.
- Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company and providing necessary training and resources.
- Conduct regular performance management processes, including performance reviews, feedback sessions, and employee development plans.
- Manage employee relations issues, addressing conflicts and grievances in a fair and timely manner to promote a harmonious workplace.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with the company's strategic objectives and promote a positive work environment.
- Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends and areas for improvement, presenting findings to senior management for informed decision-making.
- Facilitate training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career growth, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, recognition programs, and team-building activities to enhance morale and retention.
- Assist in the administration of compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitive offerings that attract and retain talent.
- Support the HR team in various projects and initiatives, contributing to the overall effectiveness of the HR function within the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on generalist functions.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, with experience in compliance and risk management.
- Proven ability to manage employee relations issues effectively, demonstrating strong conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite, with strong analytical skills to interpret HR metrics.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Certification from a recognized HR organization (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred but not required.
Nice to have
- Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is a plus.
- Familiarity with talent management software and tools.
- Previous experience in developing and implementing training programs.
