The Human Resources Generalist will own the end-to-end employee lifecycle for our Davis team, ensuring alignment between people strategy and business objectives. What you'll do
Investigate and resolve intricate employee relations issues by applying advanced conflict resolution and mediation techniques.
Architect and oversee the complete onboarding journey for new hires, integrating compliance checkpoints and cultural immersion activities.
Conduct comprehensive exit interviews and translate findings into procedural adjustments that mitigate future turnover risks.
Analyze engagement survey data to identify systemic trends and formulate targeted interventions for department-level improvements.
Champion the administration and optimization of the HRIS platform to ensure data accuracy and regulatory adherence.
Develop and implement robust performance management frameworks that align individual goals with strategic water sector outcomes.
Curate and deliver dynamic training programs that upskill staff on evolving employment law and professional development topics.
Monitor compensation structures and benefits configurations to ensure market competitiveness and internal equity.
Serve as the central liaison for cross-functional HR initiatives, coordinating efforts between project managers and support functions.
Evaluate recruitment metrics to streamline hiring processes and enhance talent acquisition strategies for critical technical roles.
Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information and legal documentation.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives for HR policies, ensuring alignment with federal, state, and local legislative updates.
Facilitate professional development pathways that support career growth within the water resources and engineering disciplines.
Collaborate with leadership to design recognition programs that reinforce desired behaviors and organizational values.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree
At least 5 years of related Human Resources experience required
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated effectiveness in written and verbal communication
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Human Resources Information Systems and accounting software
HR Certification
Knowledge of compensation strategy, performance management, employee relations, safety practices, and talent acquisition, and the ability to apply this information in a manner that is compliant with relevant employment law
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Human Resources Information Systems
Experience with creating a culture of engagement, collaboration, and teamwork
Capable of compiling and analyzing employment data
Nice to have

Practical notes
After an initial two-month in-office onboarding period, this position will be eligible for a hybrid work schedule. The hybrid schedule requires a minimum of three days per week in the office, with the option to work remotely for up to two days per week.
This position may require travel to other offices and/or client offices.
