About the role
AppLovin is expanding its self-serve advertiser platform and seeks a CRM & Lifecycle Marketing Specialist to manage customer journeys. This role is key to growing our advertiser base and will work closely with the CRM lead. You will own the end-to-end strategy and execution of lifecycle programs that activate, nurture, and retain advertisers on our platform. The position requires you to translate complex data into clear behavioral segments and orchestrate campaigns that drive measurable activation and retention outcomes. You will be responsible for ensuring that every automated interaction supports the broader goals of advertiser engagement and long-term value. This role demands a hands-on owner who builds and iterates on programs from concept to analysis. You will partner with data and product teams to identify opportunities and remove blockers in the advertiser journey. Ultimately, your work will directly influence the growth and health of our advertiser ecosystem through data-driven lifecycle initiatives.

What you'll do
- Develop and enhance automated programs to guide advertisers from initial sign-up through to becoming active users and re-engagement.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of CRM data flowing from our data platform through Salesforce to HubSpot, identifying and resolving issues at their source.
- Build and manage automated workflows to streamline advertiser outreach and lead follow-up, optimizing for efficiency.
- Track campaign performance, conduct A/B tests, and implement iterative improvements to drive measurable results.
- Explore and implement CRM strategies beyond email, including channels like LinkedIn, direct mail, SMS, and event-driven communications.
- Write SQL queries to analyze large datasets, uncovering insights that inform segmentation and campaign targeting.
- Utilize AI tools such as Claude or Cursor to assist in content creation, HTML template design, and campaign deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define, document, and optimize the advertiser lifecycle journey.
- Monitor key funnel metrics, diagnose drop-offs, and propose solutions to improve advertiser activation and retention.
- Maintain documentation for all automated workflows, ensuring clarity and ease of maintenance for future optimizations.
- Partner with the CRM lead to align initiatives with overarching growth objectives and quarterly targets.
- Conduct ongoing tests on messaging, timing, and channels to refine the advertiser experience continuously.
- Identify opportunities to incorporate new channels and tactics into the CRM strategy where appropriate.
- Ensure all marketing activities comply with internal guidelines and external regulations regarding data usage and communication.
Requirements
- Possess 2-4 years of experience in lifecycle and CRM marketing, with a proactive approach to learning and adopting new tools.
- Demonstrate proficiency with HubSpot and Salesforce, including an understanding of the underlying data structures.
- Experience with ad platforms, audience segmentation, marketing automation, and email marketing.
- Ability to work with large datasets, including writing SQL queries to extract insights independently.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude or Cursor for content creation, HTML template design, and campaign deployment.
- Exhibit strong self-starter capabilities and problem-solving skills, with the ability to define and execute tasks without a predefined playbook.
- Proven track record of achieving measurable improvements in advertiser activation, engagement, or retention.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship for this role.

- Familiarity with data platforms like PostHog, Superset, or Trino.
- Background in B2B SaaS, adtech, or e-commerce.
- Knowledge of email deliverability best practices, including sender reputation and authentication.
Practical notes
- Base Pay Range (CA, NY, WA States): $153,000 - $200,000 USD
- Base Pay Range (All other US States): $130,050 - $170,000 USD
