What you'll do
Qualify inbound leads from marketing and efficiently route them to the appropriate account owners with clear context and recommended next steps. Drive high-volume multi-channel outbound prospecting using phone as the primary channel, supplemented by email and LinkedIn, to generate new sales-qualified opportunities. Maintain a consistent daily outreach cadence aligned with team goals to support a healthy and predictable pipeline. Execute weekly theme-based prospecting campaigns informed by market developments, territory priorities, and guidance from sales leadership. Use independent judgment to qualify prospects and determine when a lead is ready to enter the sales pipeline for handoff to the appropriate sales owner. Leverage consultative selling skills to build trust with advisors, educate them, and guide them through early stages of the buying journey. Quickly develop a deep understanding of the Altruist platform and core features to clearly articulate value and differentiation in first-touch conversations. Systematically capture prospect and client feedback to inform broader company priorities such as product roadmap, marketing campaigns, and sales plays. Use Salesforce to rigorously track activities, conversion metrics, and KPIs to understand the impact of lead flow on territory funnel and results. Contribute to the sales team's goal of creating predictable scalable growth by meeting SLAs, maintaining accurate records in Salesforce, and proactively identifying ways to improve team performance. Demonstrate coachability and a growth mindset by actively seeking and applying feedback from sales leadership to increase effectiveness and efficiency. Support the creation of sales enablement materials and playbooks that help the team communicate value and overcome common objections. Collaborate closely with product and marketing teams to ensure alignment between messaging, customer needs, and go-to-market initiatives. Represent Altruist professionally in all outreach, ensuring that interactions reflect the values of kindness, brilliance, and grit. Act as a trusted advisor to financial advisors, helping them see how technology can free up time and improve client outcomes.
Requirements
You must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. You have at least one year of proven sales or business development experience, preferably in financial services or B2B technology. You are comfortable with high-volume outreach and prospecting in a fast-paced environment. You have strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, concise messages. You are self-directed and disciplined, with a track record of owning your results and meeting quotas. You are comfortable using technology and tools like Salesforce and video conferencing platforms. You are willing to work from the Los Angeles, CA office and adhere to the scheduled working hours. You have the legal right to work in the United States and are not currently sponsored for visa relocation. You understand and respect the financial services regulatory environment and the importance of compliance in client communications. You are prepared to participate in background checks and provide professional references when requested.
Nice to have
Prior experience in fintech, wealth management, or financial advisory services. Demonstrated success with outbound prospecting and consultative selling techniques. Experience using CRM systems to manage pipelines and forecast accurately. Familiarity with AI tools and platforms used in financial services. A history of mentoring or coaching peers in a professional setting.
Practical notes
This is a full-time position based in Los Angeles, California, requiring adherence to standard business hours. Occasional travel within the region may be required for team meetings or client visits. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. The start date is aligned with business needs and should be discussed during the hiring process.
