About the role
The is the central architect responsible for expanding Hazel's footprint and adoption within the wealth management ecosystem through strategic alliances. You will own the complete partnership lifecycle from initial exploratory outreach through to the execution of signed, revenue-generating agreements. This role translates complex technical integrations into tangible advisor growth outcomes and demonstrates clear value within a heavily regulated environment. You will define the narrative and mechanics of how wealth professionals discover, adopt, and scale AI tools through established distribution channels. This is a high-impact, individual contributor position that requires deep ownership, executive presence, and the ability to close large, strategic deals. A significant portion of your responsibilities will center on building the partnership function itself and rigorously analyzing revenue performance and partner health metrics. Ultimately, partnerships are the primary mechanism for reaching the majority of the Registered Investment Advisor market that is inefficiently served by direct sales efforts alone.
This position operates from our San Francisco Financial District office, requiring four in-office days per week to foster close collaboration. The compensation package for this role includes a base salary of $180,000 along with equity participation as part of the total reward.
What you'll do
You will orchestrate complex distributor conversations while meticulously mapping technology stack compatibility to guarantee seamless and secure integration. You will design, launch, and optimize marketplace listings that position Hazel prominently inside evaluator dashboards used by hundreds of advisory firms. You will champion robust integrations with custody partners to ensure secure, reliable data flows between Hazel and existing broker platforms and trade order systems. You will build structured, scalable outreach programs targeting key trade associations, converting membership channels and industry events into a qualified pipeline of partner opportunities. You will host strategic executive sessions with broker-dealer and platform leaders to align on product vision and secure platform-wide commitments for Hazel's inclusion. You will curate comprehensive partner enablement kits that provide affiliates with narratives, data, case studies, and proof points for advisor conversations. You will own a book of named broker-dealer, aggregator, and technology relationships, tracking each account's progression through defined sales and integration stages. You will synthesize partner feedback and translate it into precise product requirements, effectively closing the loop between engineering and distribution teams. You will analyze performance metrics across the partnership portfolio, identifying optimization opportunities and driving continuous improvement. You will represent Altruist at industry conferences, webinars, and partner events to elevate brand presence and generate demand. You will collaborate closely with the executive team to shape the long-term strategic direction of the partnership organization. You will work cross-functionally with product, engineering, legal, and sales operations to streamline deal execution and remove bottlenecks. You will maintain up-to-date documentation on partnership processes, tools, and best practices to ensure scalability.
Requirements
You bring a minimum of seven years of experience building and scaling partnership motions within fintech or wealth management environments. You hold deep, established relationships across major broker-dealers, aggregators, and leading technology providers in the financial services sector. You understand how to negotiate commercial terms that satisfy legal, compliance, finance, and risk stakeholders without sacrificing speed. You are comfortable operating in a fast-paced, regulated environment where documentation and governance are critical. You demonstrate strong ownership, executive presence, and the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders through data and vision. You have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota and targets in a quota-carrying role. You communicate with precision and clarity, able to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences. You are highly organized, disciplined, and capable of managing multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously. You are comfortable using data to drive decisions, diagnose problems, and measure the success of partnership initiatives. You adhere to strict ethical standards and understand the importance of compliance in building trusted relationships.
Nice to have
Prior engagement with XYPN, NAPFA, FPA, or AICPA PFP membership networks is beneficial for accessing advisor communities. Your background includes working with platforms such as LPL, Cetera, Raymond James, Captrust, Mariner, Mercer, and Hightower. You have experience interfacing with CRMs, financial planning software, and portfolio management systems to facilitate data exchange. Your history includes collaboration with affiliated firms, T3, F2 Strategy, and Ezra Group in a professional capacity.

The engagement type for this role is Full-time. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for this position. Relocation is not provided.
