Strategic Partnerships Director
Job description
About the role
You will own the development and execution of a territory strategy focused on health system partnerships within a specific Southeastern region, acting as the primary external face of Talkiatry to executive and clinical leaders. You are a relationship-driven business development leader who thrives on opening doors, building trust, and developing partnerships from the ground up rather than managing an existing book of business. This role requires you to leverage your network to establish credible relationships with key clinical and operational stakeholders and to navigate complex organizational dynamics to align Talkiatry's value with strategic priorities. You will create a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities by independently driving prospects from initial outreach through successful launch and measurable value realization. The ideal candidate loves the challenge of prospecting and relationship building, demonstrates high emotional intelligence, and builds trust through insight and persistence instead of high-pressure sales tactics. Success in this position means becoming a trusted behavioral health thought partner who articulates industry trends, referral workflows, and clinical operations while securing meaningful referral partnerships that expand access to high-quality psychiatric care.
Key facts
What you'll do
Develop and execute a territory strategy to identify, prioritize, and secure new health system partnerships, leveraging existing executive relationships while systematically building new ones with clinical and operational leaders.
Own the full partnership lifecycle, including prospecting, relationship development, discovery, executive presentations, negotiation, and successful launch, with clear accountability for delivering partnership and growth goals.
Leverage existing relationships while actively building new executive connections with physician leaders, behavioral health executives, referral management teams, population health leaders, and C-suite stakeholders to establish long-term strategic partnerships.
Navigate complex health system organizations by building consensus across multiple stakeholders, understanding organizational dynamics, and aligning Talkiatry's value proposition with each system's clinical and strategic priorities.
Maintain deep, current knowledge of the health system landscape within your territory, including executive movement, strategic priorities, competitive dynamics, and emerging partnership opportunities, and use those insights to proactively shape your territory strategy.
Develop and execute a systematic approach to territory planning, prospecting, account prioritization, and pipeline management that consistently creates new partnership opportunities and advances high-quality referral pathways.
Represent Talkiatry as a behavioral health thought partner by articulating industry trends, healthcare economics, referral workflows, and the value of Talkiatry's in-network platform in improving access, quality, and patient outcomes.
Partner cross-functionally with Clinical, Operations, Legal, Product, and Executive Leadership to design, structure, and launch successful partnerships while independently driving opportunities forward, removing obstacles to execution, and ensuring alignment on shared objectives.
Represent Talkiatry at industry conferences, executive forums, and professional networks to strengthen market presence, expand strategic relationships, and generate new partnership opportunities that enhance visibility and credibility.
Track and report on key performance indicators related to partnership development, including pipeline growth, executive engagement, referral conversion, and successful launches, using data to refine territory strategies.
Build deep trust with referral partners by demonstrating a thorough understanding of health system workflows, clinical operations, and the unique challenges they face in delivering behavioral health care.
Champion Talkiatry's mission of transforming mental health care by making high-quality psychiatry more accessible, human, and sustainable for both patients and clinicians through measurable improvements in access and outcomes.
Utilize a consultative selling approach focused on insight and collaboration, positioning Talkiatry as a solutions partner rather than a vendor and establishing long-term relationships based on mutual value.
Continuously refine your territory plan based on feedback from stakeholders, market signals, and performance data, ensuring that partnership strategies remain relevant and effective in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Requirements
You have an established network of health system executives and physician leaders that you can leverage to open doors and accelerate partnership discussions.
You love the challenge of developing partnerships, are energized by prospecting and relationship building, and have a track record of independently driving opportunities from initial outreach through successful launch.
You understand the unique challenges facing health systems, speak credibly about clinical operations and referral workflows, and build trust through insight, persistence, and high emotional intelligence.
You are a relationship-driven business development leader who prefers consultative, insight-based conversations over high-pressure sales tactics.
You have demonstrated success in creating strategic partnerships within complex enterprise environments, including experience with health system or healthcare stakeholder ecosystems.
You are comfortable navigating complex organizational structures, building consensus across multiple stakeholders, and influencing decision-makers without direct authority.
You hold yourself accountable for delivering measurable results, including pipeline creation, executive engagement, and the successful launch of referral partnerships that create value for patients and health systems.
You communicate clearly and credibly with executive and clinical audiences, articulating how Talkiatry's in-network psychiatry platform improves access, quality, and operational outcomes.
