Speech-Language Pathologist

About the role

You own the full delivery of high-quality speech therapy within a center-based early intervention program for children aged 18 months to 6 years. You are responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualized speech-language goals in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. You own the coordination of care with Occupational Therapists and Board Certified Behavior Analysts to ensure integrated and consistent treatment approaches. You own the maintenance of strict HIPAA compliance and the protection of client confidentiality in all interactions. You own the communication of progress and updates to families and clinical leadership with transparency and professionalism. You own the completion of timely evaluations, parent training, and required documentation for each client on your caseload. You own the active participation in team meetings and continuous improvement of therapy protocols. You own the demonstration of Ally Behavior core values in every interaction with clients, families, and colleagues.

What you'll do

• Provide comprehensive speech-language pathology services to a caseload of up to 23 clients in a center-based environment.
• Conduct parent training sessions with each client on your caseload once per quarter to support carryover of skills.
• Complete a parent training following an evaluation or reevaluation within one month to ensure alignment and understanding.
• Meet billable hour expectations of 40 thirty-minute sessions, which equates to 20 billable hours per week.
• Collaborate closely with Occupational Therapists and Board Certified Behavior Analysts to coordinate the therapy of shared clients.
• Attend team meetings as scheduled to discuss client progress and interdisciplinary care planning.
• Maintain strict client confidentiality following HIPAA protocol at all times.
• Maintain open communication with families and clinical teams to ensure the most effective treatment and goals.
• Assist with diapering and toileting support as required due to the nature of working with young children.
• Be physically capable of working on the floor with children during therapy sessions and activities.
• Support the implementation of therapy plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education opportunities provided by the organization.
• Contribute to a positive and dynamic team environment that values collaboration and innovation.
• Adapt therapy techniques to meet the individual needs of children with autism and varying abilities.
• Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling and availability to support client needs and team coverage.

Requirements

• Hold a Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a program accredited by the Education Standards Board or whose practice meets ASHA certification requirements.
• Possess a current and active Speech Therapy licensure in the state(s) of hire.
• Meet the education and experience requirements for Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology or Audiology granted by ASHA.
• Maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification throughout employment.
• Have prior experience with early intervention and working with children with autism.
• Be able to be on-site from 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday as required.
• Demonstrate the ability to follow clinical protocols and documentation standards consistently.
• Show strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse families and professionals.
• Commit to upholding Ally Behavior center policies and ethical standards in all professional activities.
• Possess the physical ability to perform job duties, including floor-based therapy and client assistance.
• Be prepared to engage in regular performance feedback and coaching to support professional growth.
• Understand the importance of maintaining data integrity and accurate session notes.

• Employment is full-time at Ally Behavior Centers in Chantilly, Virginia, USA.
• Hours are from 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday.
• Travel is not required for this role as it is a center-based position.
• This position requires on-site presence and does not offer remote work options.
