The company is currently recruiting a British Sign Language (BSL) fluent Video Localization Specialist to join its localization team in Ireland. This contract role is designed for a technically minded video professional who can safeguard quality and flow within high-volume production environments.

Position Overview

This is a twelve-month contract position with a possible extension, based in Ireland. The successful candidate will own the video localization workflow, guiding assets from initial review through to final delivery. The role operates within a structured schedule, either 08:30-17:00 or 09:00-17:30 Irish Standard Time, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. The schedule runs Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday, requiring availability to work 40 hours per week. The annual compensation for this role is €35,000.

Candidates must possess valid work authorization for Ireland that does not require sponsorship. The position demands a strong command of BSL, as this is essential for the role's responsibilities.

Key Qualifications

• Fluency in British Sign Language (BSL) is mandatory.

Primary Responsibilities

The Video Localization Specialist will act as the guardian of the production pipeline, ensuring a smooth flow of content from intake to delivery. Key duties include designing intake checks to filter problematic video before it reaches fragile systems. The role involves championing build stage tactics that align automated processes with necessary human review for complex edits.

You will drive review cycles where feedback is precise, structured, and easy to act upon. Orchestrating ship routines to meet strict timing, format, and compliance standards is a core function. The specialist will forge partner habits that connect local insight with global video service standards.

Technical vigilance is required to guard playback environments, identifying patterns that cause stalls or synchronization failures. Maintaining detailed logs that capture recurring issues and the experiments used to solve them is essential. You will also shape training notes to help teammates recognize subscription platform quirks early.

Analyzing spreadsheet records to reveal bottlenecks in localization speed and accuracy is a regular task. The role further involves supporting additional language options when useful, widening access while maintaining BSL ownership.
