About the role
You will own the end to end handling of video localization projects requiring British Sign Language expertise within a global content operations environment. Your daily work will focus on ensuring that multimedia content is accurately processed and culturally adapted for target audiences through the use of advanced video techniques. You will apply your technical video knowledge to solve complex production challenges while maintaining strict quality standards. This role gives you the opportunity to contribute directly to the scalability and accuracy of Welocalize multilingual content solutions. You will collaborate with cross functional teams to streamline workflows and improve operational performance across the localization lifecycle. Your initiative will help define best practices for video handling and playback troubleshooting in a fast paced setting. You will act as a key resource for resolving video and audio issues while supporting enterprise clients in more than 300 languages.

What you'll do
Coordinate and execute video localization workflows from intake to final delivery using the Opal Platform and related tools.
Perform detailed analysis of digital video and audio streams to identify technical issues and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Apply strong film and TV industry knowledge to evaluate content quality and appropriateness for different markets.
Troubleshoot video playback, system errors, and format compatibility problems in a high volume and changing environment.
Monitor project timelines and adjust work schedules to meet demanding deadlines without compromising accuracy.
Document recurring video issues and trends to support the development of long term solutions and process improvements.
Collaborate with automation teams to optimize workflows and integrate AI enabled solutions into daily operations.
Utilize intermediate to advanced spreadsheet skills to track project metrics, quality indicators, and resource allocation.
Support the evaluation and adoption of subscription video content services by analyzing product offerings and their relevance to client needs.
Provide clear and effective verbal and written updates to stakeholders regarding project status and technical findings.
Champion data security and compliance standards by adhering to established protocols and certification requirements.
Leverage your British Sign Language skills to ensure accurate communication and representation in localized video outputs.
Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains that enhance the scalability of multilingual content delivery.
Act as a subject matter expert for video related queries and contribute to knowledge sharing across the Welocalize organization.
Requirements
You must possess British Sign Language proficiency as a core requirement for this position.
You are required to have a genuine passion for digital video and a solid understanding of the film and TV industry.
You must demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of common technical issues found in digital video and audio systems.
You need to be willing to work in a high volume, fast paced, and constantly changing operational environment.
You are expected to bring at least 2 years and up to 4 years of experience working with digital video in a professional context.
You must be able to take initiative when facing complex video and system playback issues and identify trends for improvement.
You are required to track and respond quickly and decisively to production issues as they arise.
You must possess effective verbal and written communication skills in English to interact with global stakeholders.
You are required to have valid work authorization for the United Kingdom with no need for sponsorship.
You must be available to work within the defined shift schedule and adhere to the designated working hours and lunch break policy.
You are expected to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive client information with professionalism.
You must comply with all relevant ISO certifications that support the secure and compliant operation of the platform.
You are required to reliably meet project deadlines and uphold the quality standards expected by enterprise clients.
You must be comfortable using technology tools and platforms to manage and monitor content workflows.
Nice to have
Professional or advanced proficiency in any language other than English would be a significant advantage.
Prior experience with subscription video content services and familiarity with their product offerings is preferred.
Practical notes
This is a contract based engagement with a project duration of 12 months, subject to possible extension based on performance and business needs. The working schedule follows UK Standard Time with shifts either 08:30 to 17:00 or 09:00 to 17:30, including a 30 minute unpaid lunch break. The role requires a commitment of 40 hours per week from Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday, as outlined in the shift patterns. Successful candidates must hold valid work authorization for the United Kingdom and are not eligible for sponsorship. The annual salary for this position is quoted at £31,850 per year, aligned with the contract duration and scope of responsibilities. This position is based in the United Kingdom under the legal framework applicable to local employment regulations.
