Job description
About the role
The role involves owning the end-to-end lifecycle of critical components within Addepar's Trading suite, specifically the Rebalancing, Order Management System (OMS), and Investment Book of Record (IBOR) platforms. You will architect and deliver scalable, tax-efficient trading solutions that target sophisticated rebalancing strategies across equities, mutual funds, and fixed income products, ensuring they are executed seamlessly in the market. This position requires driving complex, long-term technical designs from initial concept through full production deployment while maintaining a focus on scalability, resilience, and security. You will leverage deep expertise in software design patterns and distributed systems to solve challenging financial engineering problems and pioneer the adoption of new technologies where appropriate. A key responsibility is to educate and empower other engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, while also acting as a hands-on technical leader collaborating closely with product and design teams. Ultimately, you will deliver exceptional data and AI-powered products that enable investment professionals to turn complex financial information into actionable intelligence for clients managing trillions in assets.
