About the role

You will design and build scalable backend systems for the 6sense AI-driven platform. This role involves collaborating with product and engineering teams to develop high-performance services and contribute to architectural strategy for enterprise-scale applications. You will own the implementation of critical services that power the core AI platform and directly influence product outcomes. The position requires you to translate complex business requirements into robust technical specifications and execution plans. You will be responsible for ensuring that the systems you build meet stringent standards for security, reliability, and maintainability. What you'll do

• Develop and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs using Python and Java.
• Create production-grade applications and distributed systems that handle high throughput and low latency.
• Lead system design discussions and architectural planning for new features and platform improvements.
• Partner with product managers and cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability through profiling, monitoring, and iterative improvements.

Requirements

• 4+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on backend development in professional settings.
• Proficiency in Python and/or Java, demonstrating strong coding skills and knowledge of language-specific best practices.
• Experience building scalable APIs and backend systems that can handle growth in users and data.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems principles, including service communication and data consistency.
• Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure, including relevant services such as compute, storage, and networking.
• Ability to design scalable technical solutions and contribute to architecture discussions that affect the broader engineering organization.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to debug complex issues in distributed environments.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• A proven track record of writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code that adheres to industry standards.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and respond to critical incidents as they arise.
• Commitment to following security best practices and ensuring that code changes do not introduce vulnerabilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.

• Experience with Golang and TypeScript for building efficient and type-safe applications.
• Background in high-growth SaaS environments where rapid iteration and scalability are essential.
• Experience with data platforms, analytics, or large-scale data processing to support AI and machine learning initiatives.
• Familiarity with building AI/ML-enabled products and integrating machine learning models into production systems.
• Prior experience with infrastructure as code and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases and optimization techniques for data storage and retrieval.

• Understanding of front-end technologies and how backend services integrate with user-facing applications.
