About the role
6sense is actively seeking a Staff Enterprise AI Engineer to spearhead the creation and scaling of internal artificial intelligence systems and automation agents. In this capacity, you will own the design and delivery of production-grade solutions that enhance cross-functional business operations with a relentless focus on security and privacy. You will establish the technical foundation that allows enterprise teams to leverage AI safely and effectively across the entire organization. This role requires a balance of visionary architecture and meticulous implementation to meet strict compliance requirements. You will partner closely with IT Operations, reporting into the Head of IT and AI Transformation, to align technical strategy with business objectives. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving the adoption of AI across the company by building robust, scalable, and secure systems. Your work will directly influence the efficiency and security posture of key departments, ensuring that automation supports the strategic goals of the enterprise.

What you'll do
- Architect enterprise AI systems utilizing Workato, MCP frameworks, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and Claude to solve complex operational challenges.
- Design, construct, and maintain AI agents that automate intricate workflows spanning Finance, HR, Security, Legal, IT, and GTM departments.
- Engineer and manage reusable architectural patterns for agent memory management, sophisticated orchestration logic, and robust human-in-the-loop oversight mechanisms.
- Integrate disparate SaaS platforms and internal services to form unified, resilient, and automated end-to-end workflows.
- Implement stringent security guardrails to proactively prevent prompt injection attempts, mitigate data leakage risks, and control unauthorized model access.
- Guarantee that all AI deployments strictly adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, and ISO 42001 certifications.
- Develop and maintain scalable internal tools, software development kits, and modular templates to accelerate AI adoption and best practices across the organization.
- Analyze business requirements to translate high-level objectives into detailed technical specifications for AI-driven solutions.
- Monitor the performance and reliability of deployed AI systems, ensuring they meet stringent operational and security benchmarks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities where automation and AI can deliver significant efficiency gains.
- Mentor and support other engineers and technical staff on effective and secure usage of AI platforms and tools.
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and frameworks to maintain the company's competitive edge in AI capabilities.
- Document system architectures, workflows, and operational procedures to ensure clarity and maintainability.
- Contribute to the establishment of governance frameworks that guide the responsible and ethical use of AI within the enterprise.
Requirements
- Bring a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in IT systems, enterprise engineering, or automation focused roles.
- Demonstrate a proven track record of building complex workflows and integrations using platforms such as Workato and similar integration tools.
- Show deep familiarity with Large Language Model-based systems, including advanced tool usage, agent orchestration strategies, and expert-level prompt design.
- Possess a strong and practical grasp of API-driven architectures and the broader SaaS ecosystem landscape.
- Exhibit substantial experience in implementing security and compliance protocols within cloud-native environments, with a specific focus on AWS infrastructure.
- Display the capacity to seamlessly balance high-level strategic planning with rigorous hands-on technical execution and debugging.
- Hold the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment where requirements may evolve rapidly.
- Maintain a meticulous attention to detail to ensure all solutions meet the highest standards of quality and security.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar advanced agent frameworks.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft 365 Copilot extensibility models and the Microsoft Graph API.
- Background working with Claude or other enterprise-grade Large Language Model platforms.
- Solid understanding of responsible AI practices and established governance frameworks.
- Prior experience in scaling internal platforms within high-growth Software as a Service organizations.

- Base Salary Range: $181,374.00 - $235,015.20.
- Total compensation includes base salary, potential bonus or commission, and stock options.
