In this capacity, you will own the technical execution of high-impact mobile projects, driving the modernization of legacy systems and the creation of new features for a diverse global client portfolio. What you'll do

• Analyze and document technical requirements for mobile applications, ensuring alignment with client business objectives and project scope.
• Architect and develop new features for React Native applications, focusing on scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Lead the migration of existing JavaScript codebades into TypeScript, implementing strict type safety and modern coding standards.
• Design and implement offline-first capabilities by integrating local databases and advanced caching mechanisms to enhance user experience.
• Configure and optimize application state management using Redux, RTK Toolkit, and integrate these systems seamlessly into existing codebases.
• Utilize Expo to manage the entire development workflow, from initial setup to continuous integration and deployment processes.
• Author and refine GraphQL queries and mutations, working alongside backend teams to ensure efficient data fetching and synchronization.
• Build and maintain native modules for iOS using Swift or Objective-C, and for Android using Kotlin or Java to extend application functionality.
• Conduct comprehensive code reviews, providing constructive feedback and technical mentorship to junior developers to elevate the entire team's skill level.
• Monitor the React Native and Expo ecosystems, evaluating and adopting new tools, libraries, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define and deliver mobile product roadmaps that meet stringent deadlines.
• Implement and manage push notification strategies using Expo SDK features to ensure reliable and engaging user communication.
• Optimize camera integration and other device-specific features within mobile applications to deliver seamless functionality.
• Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Expo EAS, GitHub Actions, and release channels to automate testing and deployment workflows.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with React Native, demonstrating a deep understanding of functional components, hooks, and advanced state management patterns.
• Have at least 5 years of professional experience writing and maintaining code in TypeScript, showcasing expertise in type definitions and interface design.
• Bring a minimum of 3 years of proven experience working with Expo and Expo DevClient, including configuration and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrate the ability to develop native modules for iOS platforms using Swift or Objective-C, and for Android platforms using Kotlin or Java.
• Show extensive experience with Expo SDK features, specifically notifications, camera integrations, and over-the-air updates.
• Exhibit proficiency with Expo EAS, including a strong grasp of CI/CD workflows, GitHub Actions configuration, release channels, and branching strategies.
• Have expert-level knowledge of Redux, including middleware solutions like Thunk or Saga, and a strong command of the RTK Toolkit.
• Must possess proficiency in English, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with international team members and stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Bring prior experience with local databases such as SQLite or Realm to implement sophisticated offline-first mobile strategies.
• Demonstrate proficiency with GraphQL clients like Apollo or Relay to optimize data management and caching.
