In this role, you will oversee the technical migration of reporting systems while ensuring seamless integration between various BI tools and the Snowflake environment. What you'll do

• Develop and maintain robust data pipelines utilizing AWS services and Snowflake technologies to ensure high data availability and reliability.
• Lead the migration efforts for reporting and business intelligence workloads to the Snowflake platform, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
• Design and optimize data models and SQL queries to enhance performance and efficiency across various reporting systems.
• Establish and troubleshoot connectivity issues between BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Looker, ensuring smooth data flow and accessibility.
• Implement security measures, cost management strategies, and performance optimization techniques within the Snowflake environment to maintain high standards.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues and pipeline failures promptly to minimize downtime and maintain data integrity.
• Collaborate closely with system architects and business intelligence teams to ensure timely completion of project milestones and deliverables.
• Document processes and create user guides to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding of new team members.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in data engineering and migration strategies.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in data engineering and BI technologies to continuously improve processes and tools.
• Provide training and support to team members on Snowflake and BI tool integrations to build a knowledgeable workforce.
• Engage in performance tuning of Snowflake to ensure optimal query execution and resource utilization.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in developing solutions within the Snowflake Data Warehouse environment, showcasing your ability to handle complex data scenarios.
• Strong command of SQL and a solid foundation in data engineering principles, enabling you to write efficient queries and manage data effectively.
• Familiarity with AWS services, including S3, Glue, Lambda, IAM, and CloudWatch, is essential for managing cloud-based data solutions.
• Proven track record in managing ETL or ELT processes, along with experience in data modeling and executing migration projects successfully.
• Practical experience in establishing connections between BI tools and Snowflake using JDBC or ODBC drivers, ensuring data accessibility for end-users.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely resolution of technical challenges.
