About the role
3Pillar Global is actively searching for a Lead Fullstack Engineer to join our team for a 6-month contract focused on data analytics software. In this capacity, you will work directly with client stakeholders to build secure and high-performance systems that transform complex data sets into actionable business insights. The role requires you to act as a technical leader, guiding the engineering practice and ensuring successful project delivery. You will be responsible for mentoring team members and fostering a collaborative environment that values clean code and robust architecture. This is a unique opportunity to influence the technical direction of projects and contribute to the internal Engineering Practice community. Your expertise will be critical in gathering requirements and demonstrating new features to clients in a professional manner. You will manage the entire project lifecycle from the initial concept through to final deployment. What you'll do
- Analyze client needs and communicate project status along with technical recommendations to client stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain high-quality, testable, and scalable code that adheres to best practices.
- Lead project planning and estimation tasks utilizing standard methodology to ensure accurate scoping.
- Gather detailed requirements from clients and subsequently demonstrate new features to validate functionality.
- Collaborate closely with designers and managers to address user needs and iterate on solutions effectively.
- Participate actively in agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to maintain alignment.
- Mentor team members and contribute to the internal Engineering Practice community to elevate overall capability.
- Manage project delivery comprehensively from the initial concept and requirements gathering through to final deployment and support.
- Design and architect solutions using high-level design skills with UML, C4, or ArchiMate notation.
- Ensure all implementations comply with OWASP security standards and follow SOLID principles of object-oriented design.
- Integrate with various data sources and services using proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Implement frontend user interfaces using JavaScript, React, and TypeScript to create responsive experiences.
- Design and manage APIs, leveraging knowledge of API design principles and patterns.
- Utilize artificial intelligence tools such as Claude or GPT to enhance development workflows and problem-solving.
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of 8 years of professional software engineering experience across the full stack.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Node.js and AWS, with Lambda being a mandatory requirement for serverless computing.
- Have substantial experience working with both SQL and NoSQL databases to model and query data efficiently.
- Show frontend development skills using JavaScript, React, and TypeScript to build interactive user interfaces.
- Exhibit knowledge of API design, GitHub for version control, and AI tools like Claude or GPT for productivity.
- Apply expertise in Object-Oriented Programming, SOLID principles, and OWASP security standards to write robust code.
- Utilize high-level design skills with UML, C4, or ArchiMate to communicate system architecture effectively.
- Communicate fluently in English for professional communication with clients and team members.
- Display the ability to work effectively as an individual freelancer or as part of an in-house engineering team.
- Understand the importance of architectural patterns and design patterns such as Factory, Singleton, and Observer.
- Have hands-on experience with modern frontend build tools and CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments.
- Be familiar with Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration for managing containerized applications.
- Know about ORMs and unit testing frameworks to ensure code quality and maintainability.
- Comprehend architectural patterns such as microservices and serverless to create scalable solutions.

Practical notes

- The work hours require availability starting at 2PM IST, Monday through Friday.
- This engagement is structured as a 6-month contract with a commitment of 8 hours per day.
