Job description
About the role
At Truelogic we are a leading provider of nearshore staff augmentation services headquartered in New York. For over two decades, we've been delivering top-tier technology solutions to companies of all sizes, from innovative startups to industry leaders, helping them achieve their digital transformation goals. Our team of 600+ highly skilled tech professionals, based in Latin America, drives digital disruption by partnering with U.S. companies on their most impactful projects. Whether collaborating with Fortune 500 giants or scaling startups, we deliver results that make a difference. By applying for this position, you're taking the first step in joining a dynamic team that values your expertise and aspirations. We aim to align your skills with opportunities that foster exceptional career growth and success while contributing to transformative projects that shape the future. This role places you at the intersection of fintech and real estate technology, where your work will directly influence how high-value transactions and user experiences are engineered. You will own challenging problems that span the entire stack, ensuring that data integrity, performance, and user satisfaction remain uncompromised. This is a chance to leave a lasting impact on systems that power critical business operations for our clients.
Key facts
What you'll do
Own the full lifecycle of product features, tracing requirements from initial design through database schema creation, backend implementation, frontend delivery, and production monitoring to ensure end-to-end accountability.
Design, build, and maintain scalable event-driven and distributed systems that provide strong guarantees around reliability, consistency, and fault tolerance in high-volume financial environments.
Develop and optimize complex PostgreSQL queries, migrations, and transactional workflows to support mission-critical financial operations with strict performance and correctness requirements.
Build resilient integrations with third-party systems by implementing robust webhook handlers, queue-based processing, retry mechanisms, and reconciliation processes to prevent data loss or inconsistency.
Implement reliability engineering patterns such as idempotency keys, dead-letter queues (DLQs), the outbox pattern, and automated reconciliation to protect against failures in production.
Create responsive and high-quality user interfaces using React and Next.js, focusing on performance, accessibility, and seamless interactions that match premium product expectations.
Contribute to architectural decisions by evaluating trade-offs in scalability, maintainability, and operational excellence, and by proposing improvements that evolve the system over time.
Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or similar platforms to enhance engineering productivity, accelerate prototyping, and improve delivery quality.
Participate in rigorous code reviews, mentor engineers across the team, and champion best practices for handling sensitive financial and transactional data with care and precision.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into high-fidelity technical solutions that deliver exceptional user experiences.
Implement and maintain comprehensive observability and monitoring solutions using tools such as Datadog or OpenTelemetry to ensure system health is transparent and actionable.
Contribute to infrastructure automation and cloud resource management using Infrastructure as Code practices with tools such as Terraform or Pulumi to ensure repeatable and reliable deployments.
Ensure all engineering practices align with security, compliance, and regulated-environment requirements, including SOC2 and PCI-DSS standards where applicable to the fintech context.
Drive operational improvements by analyzing incidents, establishing safeguards, and refining processes to reduce risk and increase system resilience over time.
Requirements
5+ years of experience as a Full-Stack Engineer delivering production-ready applications end-to-end, with a strong track record of owning features from conception through deployment.
Strong proficiency with TypeScript and Node.js, including asynchronous programming patterns, module design, and performance optimization in production services.
Advanced experience with React and Next.js, including client-side state management, server-side rendering, API integration, and build-time optimization strategies.
Deep expertise in PostgreSQL and database engineering, including complex raw SQL, query optimization, migration planning, and in-depth performance analysis.
Proven experience designing and maintaining event-driven and distributed systems that operate reliably under load and in the presence of partial failures.
Strong understanding of reliability engineering patterns, including idempotency keys and retry strategies, dead-letter queues (DLQs), outbox patterns, and reconciliation processes for maintaining data consistency.
Experience building and consuming RESTful and GraphQL APIs with a focus on robustness, clear contract design, and versioning discipline.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi for provisioning cloud resources and managing environments consistently.
Commitment to writing clean, testable, and maintainable code, with practices that support long-term code health and ease of onboarding for new team members.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment where priorities can shift and problems require analytical thinking and creative solutions.
Nice to have
Experience working in regulated environments such as fintech, financial services, or industries with strict compliance requirements.
Hands-on experience with message brokers or streaming platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies for event-driven architectures.
Knowledge of observability platforms and structured logging practices to improve system debuggability and incident response.
Exposure to real estate or property transaction workflows, although domain adaptability and quick learning are highly valued.
