The is a senior leadership role responsible for defining, building, and operating the company's core infrastructure, internal IT systems, and security program. You will own the strategy and execution for technology and security functions, ensuring they are aligned with business objectives and regulatory obligations. This position requires a blend of hands-on technical depth and executive-level management to lead high-performing, cross-functional teams. You will be expected to set the vision for DevOps, IT operations, and security while driving a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement. The role operates with a high degree of autonomy, influencing the technical direction of the organization and acting as a strategic partner to senior leadership.

- Drive adoption of modern DevOps practices with an emphasis on developer self-service, automation, and infrastructure as code.
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and resilience across all systems while optimizing cost, performance, and developer productivity.
- Direct IT operations including end-user support, device management, SaaS administration, and corporate systems to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Standardize processes, implement scalable tools, and automate workflows to improve quality, efficiency, and security across IT operations.
- Own and evolve the company's security posture, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks and internal policies.
- Lead risk management and vulnerability management programs, identifying and mitigating threats across the technology landscape.
- Partner with product engineering teams to embed security practices, resilience patterns, and operational best practices into their work.
- Report key metrics such as core infrastructure uptime, security posture, and incident response performance to guide data-driven improvements.
- Use data and observability to identify complex operational and technical challenges and solve them autonomously within defined governance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support company initiatives, providing technical advice and infrastructure guidance with a helpful, transparent approach.
- Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and constructive communication while mentoring contributors and leaders across technology functions.
- Set clear priorities aligned with department and company strategy, ensuring that resources and execution are focused on high-impact outcomes.
- Mentor and develop team members, providing regular, actionable feedback and performance management to build a strong leadership bench.
- Promote a structured, results-oriented way of working that encourages ownership, rigorous problem-solving, and collaboration.
- Anticipate future hiring needs, advocate for headcount, and implement hiring practices that align with the technology department's growth and skill requirements.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in DevOps, IT, and/or Security roles, with proven experience at a director level or higher in similar responsibilities.
- Demonstrated success leading and scaling multi-functional teams that include DevOps, IT, and Security professionals.
- Deep expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure, including architecture design, operational management, and cost optimization.
- Strong mastery of CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, and infrastructure as code practices across distributed environments.
- Solid understanding of security posture frameworks, compliance standards, and risk management practices relevant to technology operations.
- Experience managing complex systems and solving moderate-to-high complexity operational challenges in production environments.
- Ability to operate with high autonomy, driving strategic initiatives from conception through execution without constant supervision.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills to influence both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experienced people manager capable of coaching, developing, and providing structured feedback to growing engineering and operations teams.
