About the role
Zeta Global is seeking a highly experienced Vice President of Media Activation to oversee and lead our media operations within Europe, specifically focusing on the UK market. This leadership position is designed for a strategic and hands-on professional who will be responsible for managing media activation efforts, ensuring the successful execution of digital advertising campaigns, and providing expert guidance on media strategies. The role involves collaborating closely with sales teams, account managers, and internal stakeholders to drive growth, optimize campaign performance, and expand our market presence. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in programmatic advertising, team management, and client engagement, playing a role in shaping the company's media offerings and operational excellence in the region.

What you'll do
- Lead and oversee all media campaigns in the UK, ensuring they meet performance targets, deliver on client KPIs, and maintain high profitability margins. This includes managing day-to-day operations, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing campaign delivery.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for upselling existing clients and securing renewal contracts, thereby increasing overall media spend and client retention.
- Provide strategic guidance and support to account management teams by sharing insights, best practices, and performance data to strengthen client relationships and improve campaign outcomes.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues related to ad tracking, ad serving, and campaign optimization, working closely with technical teams to resolve problems swiftly and effectively.
- Coordinate media initiatives across the EMEA region, ensuring regional alignment and consistency. Serve as a resource and point of contact for the France-based trading manager, supporting their team and campaigns.
- Set or approve media rates for all programmatic offerings, ensuring competitiveness and profitability. Contribute to the development of media plans and proposals for new business pitches, providing expert input on media strategies and pricing.
- Manage and support the France media lead and their AdOps team based in Paris, providing leadership and strategic direction. As the business grows, build and lead a London-based AdOps team to support increased campaign volume and complexity.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in programmatic media buying, including setting standards for campaign setup, optimization, and reporting. Monitor campaign performance regularly, making adjustments to meet client KPIs and maximize ROI.
- Analyze internal and external reporting data to evaluate campaign performance, identify trends, and generate insights. Collaborate with Analytics and Client Success teams to produce comprehensive post-campaign reports for top-tier clients, demonstrating value and identifying opportunities for future campaigns.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and platform updates to continuously improve media activation strategies and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the media activation team in London, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Represent Zeta Global at industry events, conferences, and client meetings, positioning the company as a leader in programmatic media activation and digital advertising solutions.
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in programmatic advertising, with a proven track record in Trading, AdOps, or Account Management roles. Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and complex campaigns.
- Extensive experience in presales strategies, including media plan development, pricing models, and preparing commercial proposals for clients and prospects.
- Strong technical knowledge of at least one Demand-Side Platform (DSP) such as DV360, Xandr, Yahoo, or The Trade Desk, with a deep understanding of campaign optimization across various factors like audience targeting, bid strategies, and creative performance.
- Ability to represent the organization confidently as a subject matter expert in client-facing situations, including presentations, negotiations, and strategic discussions.
- Excellent analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools, enabling data-driven decision-making and performance optimization.
- Strong business writing, communication, and presentation skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are a plus but not required.
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Experience working within a regulated environment or with compliance standards is advantageous.
- Knowledge of the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in programmatic advertising.

- Familiarity with other digital marketing channels beyond programmatic display, such as social media or video advertising.
