About the role
You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of key product lines, translating complex stakeholder needs into clear product direction and execution plans. You will act as the primary subject matter expert for your domain, setting the strategic vision while ensuring alignment with Zensurance's business objectives and digital-first insurance platform. You will define and drive a 2 to 3 year product strategy that supports the company's long-term vision and reinforces its position in the commercial insurance market. You will collaborate directly with Product and Engineering leadership to shape development practices and influence technical roadmaps across multiple teams. You will mentor other product managers and elevate the standard of product management through data-driven problem solving and continuous process improvement. You will synthesize user feedback, business requirements, and market trends into actionable insights that keep the product experience competitive and customer-centric. You will champion innovation while challenging the status quo to deliver reliable, scalable solutions that have a tangible impact on the industry. You will ensure that all product initiatives are delivered with a focus on quality, clarity, and measurable outcomes that move the business forward.

What you'll do
Define and articulate a clear 2 to 3 year product strategy for your domain that is tightly aligned with Zensurance's company-wide vision and commercial insurance objectives.
Partner with executive stakeholders to synthesize inputs, resolve competing priorities, and translate business needs into a coherent product roadmap that guides cross-functional delivery.
Lead discovery and synthesis activities, conducting user interviews, analyzing feedback, and interpreting data to identify opportunities that enhance the digital insurance experience.
Define and own key product metrics, establishing measurable success criteria and using insights to iterate on features, improve user outcomes, and validate business impact.
Collaborate with engineering, design, and operations to translate requirements into clear product specifications that are feasible, scalable, and aligned with platform standards.
Champion architectural understanding and technical depth, working closely with technology partners to ensure product solutions leverage the full potential of the underlying systems.
Mentor and elevate the capabilities of other product managers, fostering a culture of fact-based decision making, experimentation, and continuous improvement across the product organization.
Represent product interests in cross-functional forums, ensuring that customer needs, business goals, and regulatory considerations are addressed throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Drive the governance of product delivery, coordinating timelines, dependencies, and stakeholder communication to maintain alignment and manage risk proactively.
Establish and refine processes that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of product management workflows, creating reusable artifacts that support long-term scalability.
Own the end-to-end accountability for product performance, monitoring market adoption, and using insights to refine positioning, features, and go-to-market approaches.
Champion a culture of innovation by exploring emerging trends and best practices in insurtech, then advocating for initiatives that strengthen Zensurance's competitive position.
Partner with leadership to build and maintain the product roadmap, balancing short-term delivery needs with strategic investments that secure future growth.
Act as the domain expert in interactions with carriers, brokers, and internal stakeholders, ensuring that product decisions are grounded in market realities and customer value.
Requirements
You possess a Bachelor's degree or higher, or have equivalent practical experience that demonstrates your capabilities.
You bring 8 or more years of progressive experience in product management, with a track record of delivering complex digital products in a regulated environment.
You have at least 3 years of experience in a leadership role, mentoring and guiding other product managers through coaching, feedback, and career development.
You have deep expertise in building and managing product roadmaps, setting long-term vision, and aligning stakeholders around shared objectives.
You are fluent in articulating product requirements through user stories, acceptance criteria, and specifications that engineering teams can execute against.
You have hands-on experience working with modern product analytics and data tools, using quantitative insights to inform decisions and measure success.
You understand the fundamentals of software development lifecycle, APIs, and system architecture, enabling effective collaboration with technical partners.
You are comfortable navigating complex, evolving environments where priorities shift and ambiguity requires rapid synthesis and clear decision making.
Nice to have
Experience in the insurance or financial services industry, with familiarity with commercial lines and regulatory considerations specific to Canadian markets.
A background working with agile delivery frameworks and DevOps practices, demonstrating an appreciation for modern software delivery practices.
Previous exposure to building and maintaining APIs or integrations between systems, ensuring product solutions are technically robust and scalable.
Track record of mentoring product managers and influencing leadership through coaching, resulting in stronger team performance and clearer product direction.
