About the role
Yext is seeking an Associate Marketing Operations/Automation Manager to join the GTM Engineering team. You will manage the end-to-end email channel, including onboarding programs, product updates, and event communications, while helping to modernize our marketing technology stack. In this capacity, you will own the technical execution and strategic refinement of global email initiatives, ensuring that each message aligns with our brand and compliance standards. You will serve as the operational backbone for the GTM Engineering team, coordinating complex workflows that span multiple regions and systems. Your work will directly influence how we engage with our audience through intelligent, automated touchpoints. You will leverage data to drive continuous improvement, turning insights into actionable optimizations for our campaigns. You will collaborate closely with engineering and product partners to automate manual processes and enhance the efficiency of our outreach. Ultimately, you will help build a scalable, future-ready email infrastructure that supports our growth objectives.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Execute the full email development lifecycle, including building, quality assurance, deployment, and localization.
- Create and maintain campaign infrastructure such as templates, workflows, and processes to ensure scalability.
- Coordinate with EMEA reviewers and translation partners for global email campaigns.
- Analyze email performance metrics to drive A/B testing and optimize engagement and conversion rates.
- Integrate AI-driven automation into email workflows and partner with GTM Engineering to replace manual list-upload processes.
- Manage database hygiene and compliance, including GDPR, opt-in management, and unsubscribe processing.
- Communicate technical deliverability and list-quality issues to stakeholders.
- Implement monitoring frameworks to track email health and identify anomalies in delivery or engagement.
- Partner with designers and copywriters to ensure content accuracy and brand consistency across all touchpoints.
- Maintain documentation for all operational procedures and system configurations within the email ecosystem.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex campaign failures, working across teams to resolve issues swiftly.
- Develop and maintain a centralized repository for email assets, ensuring version control and accessibility.
- Support the rollout of new features and experiments within the email channel, measuring impact and iterating based on results.
- Act as a subject matter expert for email operations, providing guidance and training to cross-functional partners.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience in marketing operations, email marketing, or marketing automation.
- Hands-on experience with a major marketing automation platform, specifically regarding smart campaigns, segmentation, and dynamic content.
- Ability to manage projects for Product, Product Marketing, and event teams under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills with an evidence-based approach to problem-solving.
- Experience with the operational requirements of multi-language email sends.

This role is based in New York, NY, and operates on a full-time schedule. The successful candidate will be expected to work primarily from the New York office, engaging with global teams through a hybrid model that balances in-person collaboration with remote flexibility.
