About the role
We are seeking a strategic Account Manager who will be instrumental in fostering growth for high-potential clients throughout Southeast Asia and Greater China. In this position, you will oversee a portfolio that includes international e-commerce brands and local technology firms, functioning as a proactive growth partner rather than merely a point of contact. This role demands a builder mentality, enabling you to assist our merchants in scaling their operations by leveraging our payment infrastructure.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Oversee the complete profit and loss (P&L) management for your designated accounts, focusing on driving revenue through upselling and cross-selling various products such as foreign exchange (FX), payouts, and pay-in solutions.
- Formulate and execute growth strategies spanning 12 to 18 months for key clients, while actively working to reduce churn rates.
- Maintain precise sales pipelines within Salesforce, ensuring that you consistently meet or exceed revenue goals.
- Cultivate relationships with C-level executives, including CEOs, CFOs, and technical leaders, to ensure alignment between our product offerings and their business goals.
- Facilitate Quarterly Business Reviews to showcase return on investment (ROI) and provide insights backed by data.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including product, engineering, legal, and compliance, to advocate for client requirements and influence regional strategy.
- Stay informed about regulatory changes and payment trends, positioning yourself as an expert in cross-border transactions between Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and China.
- Identify opportunities for product enhancements based on client feedback and market demands, ensuring our offerings remain competitive.
- Drive initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction and retention, ensuring our clients see tangible value from our services.
- Participate in industry events and networking opportunities to represent Xendit and expand your professional network.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions and identify new business opportunities.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in B2B account management or strategic sales, particularly within the fintech, financial services, or payments industries.
- A proven track record of generating revenue growth within existing accounts.
- Professional proficiency in both English and Chinese, enabling effective communication with stakeholders across Thailand, Malaysia, and Greater China.
- Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to utilize data to discern transaction patterns and identify potential business risks.
- Experience in managing global accounts is highly desirable.
- A comprehensive understanding of the cultural and business dynamics specific to the Thai or Malaysian markets.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate complex procurement processes and lengthy sales cycles with persistence and resilience.
