What you'll do

• Establish yourself as the definitive Regional Health, Safety & Security authority for all Americas offices, providing expert guidance on complex incidents and strategic initiatives.
• Architect and deploy comprehensive health, safety, and security programs that not only meet but consistently surpass the specific regulatory demands of Brazil, the United States, and other regional jurisdictions.
• Conduct sophisticated risk assessments and orchestrate the implementation of tailored safety controls during office expansions, renovations, and new project rollouts.
• Assume a critical seat on the Workplace Incident Management Team, leading the coordination of business continuity protocols and emergency response procedures during critical events.
• Exercise astute judgment in managing a portfolio of external health, safety, and security vendors, ensuring service level agreements are met and value is maximized.
• Partner closely with the global Head of Workplace Risk and Compliance and the Americas Workplace Lead to evolve, test, and standardize global policies for regional efficacy.
• Direct the administration of on-site fire marshal competencies and first-aid program readiness, ensuring rapid response capabilities are always maintained.
• Implement rigorous tracking mechanisms for regional KPIs, providing data-driven insights that inform executive decision-making and resource allocation.
• Integrate strategic safety initiatives into the company's ESG roadmap, demonstrating tangible commitment to environmental, social, and governance objectives.
• Champion continuous improvement by identifying emerging risks and pioneering preventative measures that protect our employees and intellectual property.
• Facilitate cross-regional collaboration, ensuring consistent application of safety standards and best practices from Austin to New York and beyond.
• Drive the development of training and awareness programs that empower employees to actively participate in maintaining a secure work environment.

Requirements

• Must hold registration as an Occupational Safety Technician, with active certification in SIRPWEB strictly compliant with Regulatory Standard Four (NR-4) of the Ministry of Labor and Employment.
• Must possess a minimum of 5 years of cumulative professional experience in health, safety, and security roles across multiple international locations, demonstrating breadth of exposure.
• Must achieve fluency in both English and Portuguese, ensuring precise communication and documentation across all operational interfaces.
• Must have demonstrable, hands-on experience in crisis and emergency management, with a proven track record of effective decision-making under pressure.
• Must exhibit strong, in-depth knowledge of HSS regulations and legislative frameworks throughout the Americas region, including North and South America.
• Must possess the ability to travel domestically and internationally on short notice, including nights and weekends, to address urgent operational needs.
• Must be authorized to work in Brazil without the need for sponsorship, ensuring immediate operational readiness.
• Must have a proven history of managing complex projects and stakeholders in a matrixed organizational environment.

• Hold professional certifications in Occupational Safety, Health, or Security disciplines that validate advanced expertise.
• Maintain a current and valid First Aid certification, demonstrating practical emergency response capabilities.

• Show familiarity with international HSS standards and best practices, enabling benchmarking against global peers.
