Solutions Engineering Lead

We are seeking a Solutions Engineering Lead to join the Wise Platform team in London. This team collaborates with top tier global financial institutions and major technology companies. They deliver Wise products and services directly to partner customers through our API. The role focuses on enabling partners to architect and build integrations using our world class-leading international finance products. This work enhances the Wise Platform by expanding the capabilities of our public API. You will drive growth, resolve issues, and improve product offerings.

This position is a post sales role within Solutions Engineering. You will work closely with integrating partners to ensure successful product launches based on Wise services. The position is multifaceted. It involves providing technical consulting to partners, designing novel solutions for their constraints, and working internally to influence the product roadmap. Wise is expanding this function globally. We need a lead to continue building the team in EMEA. You will support new and existing partners to reach their potential. You will work across partners, your own team, Wise Platform, and the wider organisation to maximise impact.

Your role in the team will include defining goals that align with Wise Platform objectives. You will support the team in achieving them and provide feedback on their approach. Data-driven decisions will guide your work. You will maintain an overview of organisational activity. This helps identify opportunities and risks for partners. When necessary, you will engage in project delivery. Hands on involvement ensures validation of processes and outcomes.

You must have direct experience with external parties on technical projects involving REST API integrations. Building, leading, and mentoring a high performing technical delivery team is essential. Designing systems that perform reliably within a microservice architecture is a core requirement. Expertise in API design is non negotiable. This includes RESTful design, OpenAPI, and OAuth2, along with versioning strategies. A strong product mindset is required to support decision making and compromise. You should be comfortable with complex challenges. A history of delivering best in class solutions is expected. Managing client relationships and setting accurate expectations is part of this role.

This role provides significant autonomy. You will define your own path to success and drive your vision forward. You will shape and innovate financial products across regions. Identifying problems and unlocking opportunities for Wise and its partners through technology solutions is key. You will inspire teams internally and externally with your knowledge and attitude. Travel is required to work with teams in London and to visit partners across the EMEA region.
