About the role
You will support recruitment for roles across Asia, with a primary focus on hiring for our teams in China, Singapore and other APAC regions. You will post vacancies on external job boards including 51job, Liepin, LinkedIn and other relevant recruitment platforms and translate postings into local language, where applicable. You will create and maintain job postings within our Applicant Tracking System, SmartRecruiters. You will review applications and conduct initial CV screening against hiring requirements and shortlist suitable candidates for recruiter review. You will conduct initial candidate outreach and interview scheduling while coordinating interviews across multiple time zones. You will maintain accurate candidate records within SmartRecruiters and support recruiters with recruitment administration for all countries throughout the hiring lifecycle. You will monitor job advertisements and recommend improvements to increase candidate attraction and assist with talent sourcing using job boards, LinkedIn and other sourcing channels.

What you'll do
- Execute end-to-end support for APAC recruitment initiatives, managing open requisitions from intake to placement.
- Publish and refresh job advertisements on regional job boards, ensuring content is localized and compliant with local regulations.
- Optimize candidate flow within SmartRecruiters, maintaining meticulous records and providing real-time updates to stakeholders.
- Source passive candidates through LinkedIn, niche job boards and professional networks to build diverse pipelines.
- Coordinate interview schedules across multiple time zones, liaising with candidates, recruiters and hiring managers to secure availability.
- Conduct preliminary phone screenings to assess candidate suitability and alignment with role requirements.
- Analyze recruitment metrics and job advertisement performance to propose data-driven improvements.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to hiring lifecycles, including documentation and background checks coordination.
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure candidate experience remains professional, consistent and timely.
- Support employer branding efforts and special recruitment projects as they arise within the APAC region.
- Translate English job postings into Chinese, ensuring messaging remains accurate and aligned with employer branding.
- Monitor emerging trends in talent acquisition and suggest process enhancements to recruiters and managers.
Requirements
- You are currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology or a related field.
- You possess proficiency in Mandarin and English, both written and spoken, at a professional level.
- You are actively building a career in Talent Acquisition or Human Resources and seek hands-on experience.
- You are highly organised, demonstrating excellent attention to detail in all tasks and deliverables.
- You are comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously and meeting strict deadlines.
- You are confident working with stakeholders across international teams and cultures.
- You are proactive, showing eagerness to learn and taking initiative in problem-solving.
- You are comfortable using Microsoft Office tools on a daily basis.
- Previous internship or administrative experience is advantageous but not essential for success in this role.
- You are legally authorized to work in Singapore and can commit to the full duration of the internship.
- You have a valid employment pass or eligible status if required under Singaporean work regulations.
- You can start within the required timeframe as outlined by the hiring team.
- You adhere to WildBrain policies and confidentiality agreements throughout the internship period.
- You demonstrate cultural sensitivity and adaptability when collaborating with global colleagues.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems, particularly SmartRecruiters, is helpful but not required.
- Experience working in a fast-paced entertainment or media environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of local job market dynamics in China and other APAC countries is beneficial.
- Understanding of employer branding principles and best practices is a plus.
- Any exposure to recruitment operations or HR support roles is considered an advantage.
Practical notes
This is a full-time internship based in Singapore at the WildBrain office located at 10 Anson Road, #36-11 International Plaza, Singapore, 079903. The internship duration is twelve months, with a commitment to the standard working hours as defined by company policy. Travel requirements are minimal, primarily within the Singapore office and regional virtual meetings. Candidates must be authorized to work in Singapore and comply with all local visa and employment regulations.
