MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

This position is a freelance role intended to support the internal SEO team. The selected individual will play a significant part in keyword research, keyword planning, and content optimization. The role is critical in ensuring search-related initiatives maintain quality and alignment with strategic goals.

MAIN DUTIES

• Conducting in-depth keyword research to identify opportunities and gaps.
• Managing and operating keyword planning tools to guide content decisions.
• Optimizing metadata to improve visibility and relevance.
• Refining on-page elements to align with search intent and best practices.
• Executing content optimization to enhance performance across search engines.
• Performing keyword translation between English and Hungarian, and vice versa.
• Handling, organizing, and managing complex datasets to inform strategy.
• Creating SEO copy that meets technical requirements and user expectations.
• Auditing existing pages to identify barriers in visibility, structure, or access.
• Coordinating with internal and external partners to ensure timeline and deliverable alignment.

REQUIREMENTS

Education Level

Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from an accredited college or university in a related field or demonstrate equivalent professional experience.

Experience and Competencies

• Candidates must bring a minimum of one year of hands-on SEO experience with documented results.
• A functional understanding of HTML and JavaScript is necessary for basic implementation and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in search engine best practices for Google, Bing, Baidu, and similar platforms is mandatory.
• A proven track record of successful SEO initiatives is required.
• Advanced capability with analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Site Catalyst, and WebTrends is essential.
• Mastery of advanced Excel functions is a prerequisite for this role.
• Regular use of third-party SEO analysis tools, including Screaming Frog, SEMRush, Ahrefs, and Majestic, is expected.
• Superior organizational skills and strict time management are required to meet deadlines.
• A solid comprehension of how other digital and traditional marketing channels impact SEO performance is necessary.
• An Office 365 license must be installed on personal devices to access and complete assigned tasks.

Note on Location and Engagement

This freelance role is not restricted by geography; however, the primary client focus resides in Hungary. The engagement operates on a freelance basis with a structured compensation model.

Compensation and Practical Information
