What you'll do
- Conduct comprehensive analyses of business processes and systems to identify areas for enhancement and optimization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives and organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of implemented solutions and initiatives.
- Create detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Participate in the design and implementation of new business processes and systems, ensuring they meet user needs and enhance operational efficiency.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with various teams to foster collaboration and gather feedback on proposed changes.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices to inform strategic decisions and identify potential areas for innovation.
- Support project management activities, including planning, execution, and monitoring of project timelines and deliverables.
- Assist in the development of training materials and user documentation to support the rollout of new systems and processes.
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay current with industry trends and advancements in business analysis methodologies.
- Contribute to a culture of data-driven decision-making by advocating for the use of analytics and metrics across the organization.
- Act as a mentor to junior analysts, providing guidance and support in their professional growth and development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business analysis or a similar role, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, SQL, or Tableau, to support data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings to diverse audiences.
- Proven experience in project management methodologies and tools, with a track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment is a plus.
Nice to have
- Experience with financial modeling and forecasting techniques.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards within the banking industry.
- Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems and their application in enhancing customer experience.
- Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is advantageous.
Skills & tools
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for data analysis and presentation.
- Experience with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of database management and querying languages, particularly SQL.
- Familiarity with project management software such as JIRA, Trello, or Asana.
