What you'll do
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define product vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives of WeLab Bank.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and opportunities for product improvement.
- Develop detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to guide the development process.
- Work closely with engineering teams to oversee the product development lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of features and enhancements.
- Facilitate user testing and gather feedback to iterate on product design and functionality, enhancing user satisfaction and engagement.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and product metrics to evaluate the success of digital products and inform future enhancements.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies and promotional campaigns for new product launches.
- Assist in creating product documentation, including user guides and training materials, to support internal teams and customers.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product management and digital banking.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, to foster a collaborative and efficient development environment.
- Support the product manager in prioritizing the product backlog and making data-driven decisions to optimize product features.
- Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather insights and validate product concepts, ensuring that we meet their needs effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in product management or a related role, preferably in the fintech or banking sector.
- Strong understanding of digital product development processes and methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with user experience (UX) design principles and methodologies.
- Familiarity with product management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar platforms.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A proactive and adaptable mindset, with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
Nice to have
- Experience in the banking or financial services industry, particularly in digital transformation initiatives.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance issues related to digital banking.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools and techniques to drive product decisions.
- Previous experience working in a startup or fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of customer journey mapping and user-centered design principles.
Skills & tools
- Proficient in product management software and tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Asana).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for reporting and presentations.
- Familiarity with design tools such as Figma or Sketch is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin is an advantage.
