About the Role
You will own the end-to-end user experience by serving as the first line of defense for all technology issues that impact our team members. This role requires you to take complete ownership of diagnosing and resolving technical problems before they disrupt daily workflow. You will act as the primary liaison between our staff and the technology infrastructure, ensuring every interaction is handled with professionalism and care. A significant portion of your responsibility will involve translating complex technical jargon into clear, simple language that anyone can understand. You will manage the full lifecycle of user requests, from initial ticket creation to final resolution and documentation. This position demands a high level of self-motivation and dependability as you navigate a variety of technical challenges on your own. You will play a key role in maintaining the stability of our Local Area Networks, WiFi environments, and other core workplace systems. Your work will directly contribute to the efficiency and productivity of the entire team by ensuring they have reliable tools to do their jobs.

What you'll do
Perform Help-Desk Support for Our Internal Team, handling approximately 60% of your day responding to tickets for technology issues.
Resolve technical problems associated with Local Area Networks, WiFi configurations, and other core systems to minimize downtime.
Conduct diagnostic testing using specialized programs to identify the root cause of hardware or software failures.
Create and Manage Team Member Accounts and Workstations, including installing and configuring new Windows and Mac setups.
Run proactive system checks to identify potential failures before they impact the broader team environment.
Educate non-technical staff on complex technology topics by breaking down concepts into simple, actionable steps.
Respond promptly to inquiries through various channels such as in-person visits or email correspondence as the situation requires.
Document every support interaction in clear language so that any team member can follow the process without advanced technical knowledge.
Support Technical Process Improvements by researching emerging tools and introducing solutions to new challenges.
Update internal documentation to reflect new procedures and ensure the knowledge base remains current and accurate.
Requirements
You must possess a Bachelor's Degree, and all academic majors are welcome for consideration in this role.
Your Grade Point Average must be 3.4 or higher, demonstrating a track record of strong academic performance.
You must be able to prove that you are either currently close to graduation or have already completed your degree within the last year.
You are required to have the legal right to work in the United States without sponsorship for this position at this time.
You must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania area to perform the duties of this role.
You must commit to a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week in an in-office setting.
You must have a genuine passion for technology and stay current with the latest trends in the industry.
You must be professional, dependable, and self-motivated in all aspects of your work.
Nice to have
Prior experience in any field, such as a part-time job, internship, or summer work, is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience in tech support or IT Help Desk environments is noted as a bonus for this role.
A solid understanding of both Windows and Mac operating systems is highly valued.
Familiarity with Excel and Google Suite is considered an asset for this position.
Practical notes
This position is based fully in-office at our riverside campus in Harrisburg, PA.
The compensation range for this role is $47,000 to $50,000, with potential for increase based on relevant work experience.
