About the role
You will own the end to end process engineering for water and wastewater treatment facilities supporting our Florida infrastructure initiatives. This role requires you to lead facility design efforts and translate complex treatment challenges into robust process solutions. You will be responsible for developing detailed project specifications that ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency. The position demands self motivation and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams spread across various locations. You will exercise excellent writing and communication skills to convey technical information to both technical and non technical stakeholders. Strong organizational skills are essential as you will manage multiple project deliverables and timelines simultaneously. This role offers the opportunity to directly influence the sustainability and performance of critical water infrastructure. What you'll do
Perform comprehensive process engineering calculations and analyses for water and wastewater treatment systems.
Develop detailed facility designs that optimize treatment processes and adhere to environmental regulations.
Create and manage project specifications that define equipment performance and integration requirements.
Apply your expertise to the evaluation and selection of treatment technologies for specific project needs.
Lead the preparation of design documents, reports, and technical narratives for internal and external audiences.
Coordinate with cross functional teams to ensure alignment between process design, construction, and operational goals.

Implement solutions that enhance the sustainability and resilience of water and wastewater infrastructure.
Conduct reviews of existing processes to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.

Mentor junior engineers by providing guidance on best practices and process engineering methodologies.
Requirements
You must possess a bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering as a foundational requirement for this position.
A valid Professional Engineer license is mandatory and you must maintain it in good standing throughout your employment.
You are required to have a minimum of fifteen years of hands on experience in process engineering applications.
Your experience must include substantial work in facility design for water and wastewater treatment environments.
You must demonstrate a proven track record in developing detailed project specifications for treatment facilities.
Your background should include direct application of your skills to water and wastewater treatment system projects.
You must be a self motivated professional who can manage your workload with minimal direct supervision.
You are required to have excellent writing skills to produce clear, concise, and technically accurate documentation.
You must have strong organizational abilities to handle multiple complex projects and meet strict deadlines.
You are required to possess excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
You must be capable of working well with others in a collaborative team based environment.
You are expected to adhere strictly to all company policies and professional engineering ethics guidelines.
You must be willing to relocate or work from the designated Florida office locations as project needs require.
