This position is designated as a Lead Water-Wastewater Engineer where you will serve as the primary technical authority for complex water and wastewater initiatives. You will translate high-level regulatory mandates into buildable infrastructure solutions that protect community health and the environment. In this capacity, you will own the full project lifecycle from initial feasibility assessment through final construction closeout. You will act as a design innovator, ensuring that national standards are adapted thoughtfully to local site constraints and climatic conditions. Furthermore, you will function as a mentor, elevating the capabilities of junior engineers through direct guidance and quality reviews. You will coordinate closely with multidisciplinary specialists to integrate structural, civil, geotechnical, and mechanical considerations into cohesive plans. Ultimately, your work will deliver resilient systems for municipal and industrial clients spanning drinking water, wastewater collection, treatment, and stormwater management.

• Orchestrate the development of build pathways for drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater systems in collaboration with civil, structural, and geotechnical teams.

• Provide authoritative guidance during construction administration, managing revisions and resolving field issues while safeguarding schedule integrity.

• Integrate architecture, electrical, and mechanical insights within multidisciplinary teams to solve complex infrastructure challenges.

• Facilitate cross-office collaboration between Bloomington, Milwaukee, Downers Grove, and Duluth to leverage regional expertise.

• Serve as the primary technical liaison between field conditions and design assumptions to validate real-world applicability.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of four years of documented experience in water or wastewater engineering.
• Hold an active professional engineering license in the state of Minnesota.
• Be capable of obtaining professional authorization in additional states where project work is conducted.
• Demonstrate the ability to relocate to or near the Bloomington office as a condition of employment.
• Provide evidence of experience delivering water and wastewater infrastructure solutions through project documentation.
• Exhibit strong understanding of the interplay between engineering design, public health, and environmental regulations.
• Show commitment to working effectively within multidisciplinary team environments.
• Display capacity to manage multiple project responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail.
