Founding Engineer - BeReal
Job description
About the role
The will operate at the intersection of data and design to shape the future of a leading mobile platform. This role requires the ability to synthesize quantitative insights from analytics with qualitative findings from user research in order to pinpoint genuine user needs and transform them into product opportunities. You will be responsible for proposing pragmatic and feasible solutions while rigorously estimating the technical effort and the corresponding business impact of each initiative. The position involves active participation in high-level strategic discussions, where you will help define both the short-term execution plans and the long-term vision for the product roadmap. You will own features end-to-end, maintaining accountability from the initial stage of problem framing all the way through to UI/UX design, implementation, testing, and post-launch iteration. A core part of the role involves designing intuitive user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity interactive screens within Figma to ensure a cohesive and user-friendly experience. You will identify the key metrics that solutions must improve and take full ownership of achieving success against those benchmarks once features are released. The role demands strong coding abilities, requiring you to write clean, performant, and well-tested code for iOS using Swift and SwiftUI, as well as potentially for backend services using Go or Node.js. Finally, you will continuously assess the technical, user, and business impact of every shipped feature and contribute to upholding the highest standards of code quality, architecture, and development processes.
