What you'll do

• Design and develop architectural frameworks that support Bamboohr's product vision and roadmap, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Lead the evaluation and selection of technology stacks that align with product goals, ensuring optimal performance and maintainability.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of architectural designs, including diagrams, models, and specifications.
• Conduct regular architectural reviews and assessments to ensure compliance with best practices and industry standards.
• Mentor and guide development teams on architectural principles and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Work closely with DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes for efficient product delivery.
• Analyze system performance and identify areas for optimization, implementing solutions to enhance user experience and system reliability.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on Bamboohr's products and architecture.
• Facilitate workshops and brainstorming sessions to encourage innovative thinking and collaborative problem-solving among team members.
• Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather feedback on product performance and identify opportunities for enhancement.
• Contribute to the strategic planning of product development initiatives, aligning technical capabilities with business objectives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software architecture or a similar role, with a proven track record of successful product delivery.
• Strong proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python, along with experience in web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Extensive knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and microservices architecture.
• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with machine learning or artificial intelligence technologies.
• Familiarity with data architecture and database design (SQL and NoSQL databases).
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards relevant to software development.

• Knowledge of performance monitoring and logging tools to analyze system behavior.
