In this pivotal position, you will play a crucial role in developing a sustainable, tech-driven mobility framework. You will spearhead sales efforts across both public and private sectors in the Eastern United States, concentrating on discovering new business opportunities and managing the entire sales process, from initial outreach to deal closure and upselling.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Develop and nurture enduring, revenue-generating partnerships with a variety of clients, including elected officials and leaders in the private sector. You will be responsible for strategizing and executing sales initiatives within your designated territory, with the goal of improving transit solutions for local communities.
- Conduct a thorough analysis of your market's purchasing landscape to formulate compelling, data-driven business cases for our platform, effectively demonstrating our value proposition across multiple sectors.
- Act as a consultant to prospective clients, providing insights into regional transit planning and funding opportunities relevant to your market.
- Represent Via by leading local marketing campaigns, engaging in industry conferences, and establishing thought leadership within the mobility sector.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align product offerings with market needs, ensuring that our solutions meet the evolving demands of clients.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations and proposals to clients, articulating the benefits of our platform and services.
- Maintain a robust pipeline of leads and opportunities, utilizing CRM tools to track progress and outcomes effectively.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in client-facing roles, demonstrating a successful background in Sales, Business Development, Consulting, or similar fields, with a preference for experience in the public sector.
- Exceptional consultative sales abilities, with a talent for leveraging data to create convincing narratives that resonate with clients.
- Outstanding communication skills, capable of engaging clients through effective conversations, impactful presentations, and well-crafted written proposals.
- Strong commercial acumen and sound judgment, with the ability to discern when to negotiate and when to hold firm to maximize deal value.
- Highly self-motivated and dependable, possessing a growth-oriented mindset. You excel in fast-paced environments and remain resilient in the face of obstacles.
- A collaborative team player who actively contributes to team success while also mentoring colleagues, viewing collective achievements as paramount.
- Demonstrated proficiency in prospecting, cross-selling, and establishing relationships with senior officials and executives.
- Willingness to travel 25-50% as necessary to meet client needs and attend industry events.

- Salary Range: $150,000-$210,000, commensurate with experience.
