What you'll do
- Cultivate and finalize strategic alliances with municipal governments, transit authorities, and private sector entities, overseeing intricate sales cycles from initial outreach to contract execution.
- Formulate and implement a go-to-market strategy that aligns with the unique characteristics of the Western region, taking into account public procurement processes, political landscapes, and sustainable funding mechanisms.
- Develop compelling, data-driven business cases that illustrate how Via's platform can significantly enhance ridership, operational efficiency, and sustainability within urban settings.
- Act as a trusted consultant to city officials and mobility providers, aiding in the design of future transit frameworks, identifying potential funding opportunities, and navigating operational and political hurdles.
- Represent Via at high-profile events, shaping the narrative around modern mobility through participation in industry conferences, events, and thought leadership initiatives.
- Provide critical market insights to product and strategy teams, translating local knowledge into actionable strategies that guide Via's direction and competitive positioning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on sales strategies and objectives, fostering a culture of teamwork and shared success.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and potential threats, adapting strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, business development, or strategic roles, with a proven track record in enterprise, government, infrastructure, or tech-enabled services; experience in public transportation or mobility sectors is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated success in managing and closing complex, high-value deals that require engagement with multiple stakeholders and the ability to build trust and influence.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to construct compelling narratives; proficient in leveraging data, policy insights, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions and create persuasive arguments.
- Exceptional communication abilities, with the skill to tailor messaging for diverse audiences, whether in formal presentations, meetings, or written proposals.
- Self-driven and proactive, with a knack for transforming ambiguity into actionable strategies; you will define the approach, set the pace, and elevate performance standards.
- Strong business acumen, with the capacity to discern when to advocate, when to listen, and when to adjust strategies to maximize deal value.

- The salary for this position will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications. Please note that the stated salary does not encompass equity or variable compensation, if applicable.
- Salary Range: $150,000-$210,000
